The Tempest range is a hard wearing, high quality Washroom system utilising 13mm Compact Grade Laminate Panels for Partitions, Pilasters and Doors. Ideally suited for Wet areas such as Swimming Pools, Ice Rinks, and also generally used in high traffic environments such as Leisure Centres, Schools, Caravan Parks and other public areas.

All edges are machine finished to leave an attractive profiled contrasting black finish to the panels. The sheets are manufactured using Phenolic resin impregnated Kraft paper pressed under high temperature and pressure; they are impervious to water and extremely resistant to sunlight, chemicals and heavy use/vandalism. The system is complemented by attractive and robust

aluminium cubicle hardware which can be specified in both SAA (Satin Anodised Aluminium) and powder coated finishes to any RAL code.

The Tempest Range, as with all our systems, is a made to measure product. Each project is a value engineered solution meeting your exact requirements. ATLAS experienced Technical Staff use sector knowledge to create robust and aesthetically pleasing installations. Our staff have in-depth knowledge of the latest DDA Regulations and are able to advise on correct Light Reflectance Values (LRV’s) for certain shades when specifying colour schemes. Solid Grade Laminate Structure Detail

Cubicle LayoutsA standard wc cubicle should include a minimum 450mm diameter space between the swing of the inward opening door, the wc pan and the cubicle side wall or panel. ATLAS Washrooms standard cubicle depth of 1500mm will usually satisfy this requirement. The use of outward opening doors can provide the correct dimensions when space is at a premium.

DDA LayoutsDDA Compliance is an important part of washroom design and should be considered throughout. Below are typical layouts which help explain the legislation which may affect you when specifying your project. LRV (Light Reflectance Value) - It is also a requirement that different elements of the washroom cubicles (egDoors & Pilasters) should have a difference in their Light Reflectance Value of a minimum of 30 points. Blackabsorbs all light and so has an LRV of 0 points, Pure white relects all light and therefore has a LRV of 100 points.

Enlarged Cubicle Ambulant Cubicle

Every washroom which contains 4 or more cubicles must contain at least 1 enlarged cubicle. An enlarged wc cubicle should be a minimum of 1200mm wide and have an outward opening door to ensure maximum accessibility. The cubicle should be complemented by grab rails in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

It is a requirement that a cubicle which caters for ambulant disabled users is available in every single sex washroom. Should there only be a single cubicle in the washroom this should be ambulant, it must be a minimum of 800mm wide, have vertical and horizontal grab bars and an activity space of 750mm in front of the wc pan.
