Zinaida Voronina - is the pride of

our republic.

Zinaida Voronina - gymnast, Olympic champion 1968, world champion, Merited Master of Sports of the USSR.

Zina was born in the city Yoshkar-Ola,in 1947, where, as a gymnast, she was spotted by a coach. In 1965 she moved to Moscow.

I believe that the matter of chance plays an important role. If she had not noticed by the coach at the school, she could be able to achieve such success? Could she ever meet her husband - the Olympic champion Mikhail Voronin?

At the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City she won four medals, including gold in the team competition. This is an excellent result and reason to be proud of her!

I didn't follow the example of Olympic champions, because I decided, that this is a lot of work, effort and patience! I admire people like that! But I continue to dance year already, and it is my favorite pastime.
