The Problem

• Where are my Assets now?

• Are my Assets working efficiently?

• How can I safeguard my Assets?

• With Asset knowledge, how can I improve the bottom line?

Page 4: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

The Solution Real Time Location System (RTLS)

• Private wireless mesh network

• Smart Location Tags and Sensor Monitoring

• Proprietary Firmware and Software

• Patent Pending

Page 5: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

The Solution

The System is composed of:

• Hardware (Wireless sensors, and radios)

• Firmware• Solar Power• Software (Administration,

Reporting, Mapping and Alerting)

Page 6: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

Mesh Networked Location and Sensor Tags

• “Smart” mobile tags (M) for each asset

• Tags (M) have a battery and a 2-way radio

• Tags (M) have sensors to determine location, temperature, etc

• Fixed reference node (R) used to calculate the location of the tags (M)

• Reference nodes (R) collect tag data and extend the reach of the tags for over one mile.

• Gateway “black box” collects data from (R)

• Gateway enables remote access via the Internet for reporting, mapping, admin, and alarms

Health Care• A $2.1B market by 2016

Ambulatory Care Facilities • Number 1 frustration to Hospital

– Finding moveable medical equipment– Leads to hiding and hoarding equipment

• Huge potential savings with RTLS• 1.2M Ambulatory Care Facilities

Elderly and Disabled Care Sector• Elderly Population will reach over 40 million

by 2011• 20 million individuals classified as MR/DD• State Institutions continue to close • Independent living as an alternative to

hospital and nursing home care

Value Proposition• provide less costly security and tracking

products and services, by lowering manpower costs.

• Independent living also helps reduce insurance costs.

Transportation

• Transportation market sector:– New & Used Auto Dealers – over 115,000 dealerships in US– Only 19% of global market

• How it Works:– Tag attached to vehicle– Routers placed strategically on lot– Tags associated with Serial

Number– Tags contain accelerometer sensor– GeoZones– Alerts sent to PC, PDA, or

Smartphone

Page 10: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

Transportation

Features– Location of vehicle calculated

to within 3 meters– Real-time, 24X7 monitoring

and inventory management– Notifies Sales and Service

when Customer drives onto lot– Does not interfere with WIFI

network– Sends notification if after-

hours movement– Tracks customer vehicle as it

moves through Service area– No scanning

Value Proposition– Eliminate theft – can cost a

dealership several $100k per yr– Reduce time spent looking for

vehicles (local and satellite lots)

– Enhanced Customer Service– Reduce security manpower– Improve inventory

management– Improve Employee efficiency– Improves planned or

unplanned Floor Plan Audits– Less Expensive than WIFI

Construction

• Over 700,000 construction firms in US

• Represents only 30% of total global market

• Construction site theft estimated to be $1b annually

• Value Proposition – - Accurate and timely sensor

readings – - reduce cost of replacing

equip– -reduce down time due to

lost equipment (tools, appliances, scrap metal)

– - Few competitors appear to be serving construction site security market

Page 12: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

Retail

• Indoor Usage - Shopper Insights• Value Proposition - Data Collection

– Study Shopper habits– Study Traffic Flow– Determine best floor layout– Promotional Display traffic

Page 13: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

Retail

• Location and security• Shopping Cart theft is a $100m

problem• Value Proposition

– - Reduce time to look for carts

– - Reduce fines– - Ensure that carts are

available for customers– - Protect asset investment– - Geo Zones Perimeter

Warehouse Inventory

• Pallet Location

• Forklift Tracking and Location

Page 15: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

CIPPThe Problem

• Currently, temperature readings taken manually, only at the B-Station.

• Temperature readings along the pipeline are unknown.

• Proper resin curing requires appropriate temperature readings every 20 feet, or so, along the replacement pipe.

• More difficult to warrant the job.

Page 16: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

CIPP SolutionOur Real-Time Location System

• Private wireless mesh network

• Smart Location Tags and Sensor Monitoring

• Proprietary Firmware and Software

Page 17: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

CIPP Solution Wireless Mesh Networked Sensors

• “Smart” tags (M) laid within pipe

• Tags (M) have a battery and a 2-way radio

• Tag (M) sensors determine temperature

• Fixed reference node (R) collect Tag Readings and can extend the data reach for over one mile

• Gateway “black box” collects data from (R)

• Gateway communicates with onsite computer which collects and reports temperature readings

• Gateway also enables remote access of data via the Internet

Page 18: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

CIPP Market• Over $2 Trillion in

infrastructure projects in next 5 years in U.S.

• Of this, Rehab of thousands of miles of sanitary and storm sewers

• In Ohio alone, $11.6 billion in wastewater infrastructure repairs needed

• Remote sensor Monitoring at CIPP sites is unique to the market

• Value Proposition – Accurate and timely

sensor readings (takes away recording errors)

– Pinpoints actual time of cure process

– Installed to design specs – Reduction in installation

time of 3-6 hours– Ensures product

safeguards and QA– Customer satisfaction

Page 19: Zia Systems - Marketing Overview

CIPP Market• Temperature Readings

will be sent wirelessly to the onsite computer

• Readings will be displayed in graphical as well as report format

• Report on Temperature Duration

• Alerts can be sent to handheld smartphones if readings exceeds thresholds
