RHO XI ZETA CHAPTER
Greetings,
My name is Sheila Bowers and I am the newly elected President of the Rho Xi
Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., in Kennesaw GA. The purpose of
this publication is to keep those interested abreast of the news in our chapter,
upcoming events, and highlight our accomplishments throughout the year.
I am excited and enthusiastic about working with our new Executive Board and
members in the Chapter. Over the last two months we have spent sisterly time
together at an Executive Board Leadership Meeting, our National Boule
Conference, a Summer Chapter Outing and a Weekend Planning Retreat in the
North Georgia Mountains. I know the commitment and dedication of the chapter members will
attest to this being a very productive year.
Our goals this year are to continue fostering the spirit of Sisterly Love, serve the Cobb County
Community, build and retain Fraternal/Community Partnerships and encourage the
development of our Youth Auxiliaries and Undergraduate Chapters.
As Service is one of our principles, we will be starting our year off by giving back. In the next
few months we will be very active with a Teacher Supply Drive and Voter Registration. We will
be participating in Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and also the Cobb County: Making Strides
against Breast Cancer Walk.
In closing I leave you with these final words, “A people with a unified purpose for existence are

In June we had our Chapter Outing
at Brunswick Zone XL in Kennesaw.
We enjoyed Bowling and playing
Laser Tag as a chapter. It was a
great way to start the summer. We
also participated in the Delta Mu
Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fra-
ternity, Inc. 5K Run and 1Mile
Health Walk. Later in the month of
June, we attended an All White Party
and Cruise hosted by the Men of Phi
Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Kappa
Alpha Sigma Alumni Chapter, as
they celebrated 25 years of service
on a 3-hour boat ride at Stone
Mountain Lake. In July we had our
Chapter Retreat at a weekend Cabin
getaway in the North Georgia
Mountains. We bonded as a
chapter, had a high energy
Scavenger Hunt, and a productive
planning session for the Zeta year.
RHO XI ZETA: Sisterly Summer
The Rho Xi Zeta chapter
has an August Z-HOPE
project called the Teacher
Supply Drive. We will be
collecting school supplies
to be donated to Cobb
County area school teach-
ers. There will be a
Supply Drop-off and Mix-
er on August 25 at the Vil-
lage Taqueria & Tequila
Bar from 4pm-7pm.
A full list of items to be
donated can be found on
our website at:
www.zpb-rhoxizeta.org.

completed other business items.

the fall will be in our next
