How do we use it?

We use the zero conditional when the result of the condition is always true.

Examples:

•Scientific facts.If you heat ice, it melts.

Condition / Result

You get purpleIf you mix red and blue,

•Situations that always happen.

If she comes late, her father gets angry.

Take an aspirin if you have a headache.

If you don’t water flowers, they die.

If you have a headache, stop watching TV.

With zero conditional

we express a general truth or we give advice.
