BUSINESS AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

ZED Mariel Development and Business Program, passed by the

Council of Ministers on October 30th, 2018 is the programmatic

basis till the year 2042 and includes the First Five-Year

Development and Business Program, with a 5 year scope from

2018 to 2022.

The program sets the long term strategy which takes into account

the country conditions and the potential of this area of 465,4 sq.

Kilometers, divided into 9 sectors, which partially occupies six

municipalities in the province of Artemisa: Mariel, Bauta, Caimito,

Guanajay, Artemisa y Bahía Honda.

SECTORS TO DEVELOP IN THE FIRST PROGRAM

Sector B: an extension of Sector A, with

similar activities and the incorporation of

advanced manufactures related to steel

transformation.

Sector G: related to the construction

materials industry, there are quarries

within its territory for the extraction and

processing of marble and other stones.

and domestic tourism as well as

investments that replace imports

and support the growth of the
