To commemorate all your hard work here at USF, Kasamahan would like to welcome you to our annual Filipinx Graduation (Fil-Grad) ceremony. The Fil-Grad committee decided that this event’s theme shall be “Yugto: On to the Next Chapter”.

Yugto, meaning “chapter” or “a stage of someone’s life,” accentuates the journey that each and every one of you has experienced. Much of our stories start with our ancestors and it is these stories that continue to preserve our culture and link us back to our history. These stories have transcended generations and have passed down knowledge and wisdom. Entering this space, you’ve learned and created stories regarding Laban, Mula sa Lupa, Kapit-Bisig, and Tiyaga. It is these chapters of your experience here at Kasamahan and the University of San Francisco, that you will continue to carry on as a graduate. As you step into the next chapter of your life, you will also be passing down your stories and wisdom through this organization and its members.

Your journey is not yet finished. While your undergraduate chapter is coming to a close, your story has truly only begun.

Thank you for your continuous dedication to preserving and improving this organization. Your stories will continue to inspire us and remind us of the legacy you have left behind.
