Religious Studies Year 7 - Year 7 groups visited St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Pwllheli. Pupils were presented to the special characteristics of the building and their use in worship. Thank you to Father Francis and church members for their usual welcome. Year 8 – Mr Ben Thomas from Criccieth was welcomed by year 8 groups to speak of his work as a Christian leader. The main theme of his presentation was commitment, being a member of a Christian community and the meaning of the sacrament of Communion. Year 9 – As year 9 approached choices at the end of KS3 Rachel Settatree of Trobwynt visited year 9 lessons to discuss choices in life. Pupils discussed the important and likely steps and choices in their lives.
A special delivery of a sofa and two chairs was made to the li-brary here at Glan Y Môr. ‘Antur Waunfawr’ very kindly do-nated the furniture to the school from its ‘Warws Werdd’ store. The school library is a busy place to be, with pupils visiting during their lessons and also during their lunch break where they get a chance to relax and chillout by reading a book. We would like to thank the staff at ‘Antur Waunfawr’ for their generous contribu-tion. (Seen in the photograph is the Headmistress Mrs. Menai Jones together with Mrs.Jane Jones the school librarian and the Antur Waunfawr staff who very kindly delivered the furniture.)
For the attention of the present year 7 parents.

Year 10 pupils served afternoon tea for members of the public who were invited to the school. The pupils
thoroughly enjoyed this worthwhile experience. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the pupils.
Congratulations to Samuel Hughes from Year 8 on his scholarship to Llandovery College, he will be given the chance to further develop his rugby. Well done Sam. Congratulations also to Gethin Owen who was invited to join the British Youth Sailing squad in a Laser 4.7 boat. This was due to his performance in a Rutland competition in Pwllheli recently, where he came second in the Welsh Youth Championship.
