AIDS
Bicycles and bike-ambulances are of greatassistance to those living with HIV and AIDSin rural Malawi.
Through Bike 4 AIDS, Local Committees
fundraise to purchase bikes while raisingawareness on HIV and AIDS issues.
374 bikes distributed in 2009 toCommunity Based Organizations that workwith HIV and AIDS sufferers.
With a bicycle, caregivers reach 5 timesas many patients in neighboring villages.150000 people received cares.

Funds raised through Shine A Light are fora project to assist girls in continuing theirstudies in Kenyan Refugee Camps:
Local Committees are raising awarenessand funds to support refugee girls education
in Kenyan camps, using light-themed events,like flashlight mobs.
The project is providingsolar lamps, afterschool classes and,finally, scholarshipsfor promising girls togo to secondary school
