Registering for classes is easy. You may stop by our office

or you can register online with a credit card at:

https://register.communitypass.net/Montgomery Exact Cash, Check or Credit Card accepted at OKCC (CC has a 2.99% transaction fee)

Late Fees/Discounts:

To avoid a late fee, you must register for a class prior to the start date. A $25 late fee is charged if you register the same

day the class/program begins. Classes may be cancelled due to low participation, so please register at least a week

before the class begins! NEW! Active Duty Military members, Reservists, and Veterans will receive a 10% discount with

appropriate proof of a military I.D., or a DD-214. Seniors (60+) can also continue to receive a 10% discount with

appropriate proof of a birth certificate, driver’s license, or passport. Proof must be presented upon initial registration.

Refund Policy:

Fees are Non-Refundable. If the class/program is cancelled due to lack of participants, you will receive a full refund.

Otherwise there are NO refunds. Credit Card convenience fees are Non-Refundable.

After School Class Reminders for Parents:

Please write your child’s teacher a note, including the name of the class, dates, and room location. To ensure a

smooth dismissal at OHES & VES, you must include a note each week in your child’s backpack. If your child

attends an extended program (YMCA, KC, GGS, etc.) and will not be picked up by you, you must notify the After

school program and the Montgomery Recreation instructor. A note is required on the first day of the session. All

children must be picked up outside the front entrance of the school. The front doors will be locked - please wait

for the instructor! Please be considerate and arrive five minutes prior to the end of class to pick up your child. Late

pick-up charges will be assessed and applied as needed. If you register for a class at the Otto Kaufman Community

Center, you must provide transportation - it is NOT provided from School to the Community Center. Thank you!

Dance Classes with Miss Michelle at OKCC

Princess Ballet: Dancers will learn the basics of ballet surrounded by the familiar music & props, wand, tutus of their favorite characters.

Tap/Jazz: A fun, creative class for young children to learn basic tap & jazz choreography using music and games. Tap or hard-soled

shoes (dress shoes) and inexpensive jazz shoes

Broadway Dance Kids: An upbeat class that teaches Broadway style jazz choreography & show stopping stage presence with a focus on learning song & dance numbers from a variety of musical productions, past & present. Class consists of a warm-up, theater games

& choreography. We focus on a new musical each week. All students should wear leotard & tights. Long hair should be tied back and off face & neck.

Soccer Classes at OKCC

Soccer Squirts & Senior Soccer Squirts A fun and exciting introduction to the basics of soccer, including dribbling, passing, and shooting. Each session will focus

on developing a particular skill or technique. FUN in a secure, nurturing environment! Dates: Fridays, Jan 17-Mar 6 (no class 2/14)

NEW! Indoor Soccer Join MTSC's Coach Lewis and Coach Jordan for the first ever Winter Nippers program! This 8 week

recreation level program consists of basic skills and soccer versions of playground games along with fun

fast paced three team sudden victory round robin

games each week. Spaces are limited to just 12 players per age group for maximum enjoyment and

Join us in to investigating planets, watching stardust burn & exploring rocket science. Top it off with some crazy chemistry packed solid with cool reactions, bubbling potions & mix up your very own batch of slime!

NEW! Coding for Kids at VES Why just “play” video games when you can create your own?! Code Ninjas’ Code Senseis will teach kids in 3rd & 4th grade the foundations of coding by building fun interactive video games using block-based programming. This beginner’s class is designed to be fun, educational & easy to learn while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving & critical thinking. By the end of the course, kids will have a good grasp on the basics & foundations of simple coding. Dates: Fri, Jan 17 – Mar 13 (no 2/14)

Fal-Rooney continues when schools are closed! Teams compete for the coveted Fal-Rooney Cup! Wear sneakers,

Futsal Soccer A fast paced indoor soccer game played on a hard surface with a smaller ball where soccer skills and

individual creativity is encouraged and rewarded. Classes will be fun and challenging for all players

Math Olympics Students will be put on teams to battle it out in a mental

math game where they will test their limits. From Math basketball to math 24, you never know what to expect!

This "class" will require skills like basic facts up to long division and maybe a decimal or two. Come join the fun!

Ping Pong Class The curriculum is geared for all levels. Students learn the basic skills of Ping Pong, including better eye-hand coordination, developing concentration skills,

and learning table tennis while having fun. Program

After-School Robotics- Part 1 After-school Robotics offers a great mix of experiential,

hands-on learning through building, coding, problem-solving, and more! Students will use LEGO®

MINDSTORMS® EV3 kits to learn the fundamentals and they will be faced with a new robotics challenge every

week. Class limit is 20 students.

NEW! Dash for Cougar Cash - Financial Literacy This class is designed to strengthen your child's understanding of financial literacy concepts through

practice in game theory. Game theory is a field of

economics that formulates mathematical strategies for complex situations. Students will participate in a

simulated mini-economy and learn the importance of education in career decisions, financial responsibility in

managing money, setting goals in order to achieve

success, and working collaboratively with others to achieve mutual goals. Class limit is 24 students.

NEW! Intro to Billiards This class helps build focus, sharpens the mind, &

teaches hand-eye coordination. Students will learn hand

positioning, strategy, symmetry, how to use the bridge, how to break, how to create spin on the ball, and

compete with each other in scrimmage games. Every child learns a “trick shot.” Max 7 students

Dates: Thurs, Jan 9 – Feb 27 Time: 3:15-4:15pm (4-6) 4:15-5:15pm (7-10) Grades: 4-10

After-School Robotics- Part 2 After-school Robotics Part 2 provides a more advanced

robotics experience for students. This course is designed for students who have either already taken Part 1 or have

other experience with programming the LEGO EV3. There will be hands-on learning through building, coding

and problem-solving. Students will also be faced with

several more advanced robotic challenges over the eight weeks. Class limit is 20 students.

Members have use of pool to swim laps during normal operating hours. Membership must be done in

person at the Recreation office, where pool rules will be given.

Montgomery Special Olympics

disabilities. Programs are run from September to June and use Montgomery School sport facilities. These sports include
