Rights when illness occurs

» You have the right to have your student loan converted into a grant when:– You have been sick more than two weeks of one study year– You became sick no earlier than two weeks after school started– You have applied for the converting within 6 months after the school year

is over– You do not receive sick pay from any other employee for the same period– Remember to get a sick note from your doctor even though you are a

student

» Most student welfare organizations give a refund for doctor expenses

» Some student welfare organizations offer a student priest and psychiatric/psychological services

» You have the right to bring a friend (or your whole family) to an oral exam since these are public

» You have the right to have the duration of your exam extended, if the need can be documented by a doctor, speech therapist etc
