Seafarers working onboard of vessels with any state flag are obligated to pay social contributions or other taxes according to each flag state laws. Not everyone knows that a part of the deducted taxes and social contributes from salary can get reimbursed to the seafarer.

Every country has specific and often quite complicated tax system and laws related to it. But no worries – NSCC together with professional and experienced local partners can arrange the whole process for you to get a refund without any hassle.

Child BenefitIn case you are working abroad and have a child, it is possible to apply for Child Benefit – money that are paid to parents or other people who are responsible for bringing up a child.

Claiming Child Benefit can give a big boost to your family budget. Even if you think you won’t be entitled to anything, you should still apply so you don’t miss out on opportunity to get financial benefit for your family.

All EU residents are entitled to Child Benefits. If you are not EU resident, you can still receive contributions if you meet the required criteria of specific country.

Flag state marine documentsTo join the vessel and be able to work on flag state ships it is often required for seafarer to hold relevant flag state marine documents which sometimes are not easy to get. NSCC can apply for seafarer’s flag state endorsement (CEC) and seaman’s book (SB):
