    Welcome to the new IESO.ca Visitors to the IESO’s new website can learn about Ontario’s power system, how they can participate in the electricity market and related programs, as well as provide input to help shape the sector. The IESO website also offers real-time and historical electricity data. See how high demand will reach, the types of generation used to meet it, and the hourly electricity price, on any day of the year.

    The new site consolidates information from several predecessor websites, including: Aboriginal Energy, FIT, microFIT, Smart Metering Entity, powerauthority.on.ca. It also features a streamlined user experience – simple page navigation, interactive graphs, and a dynamic new document library that allows users to search for any published document. With its responsive design, the site is compatible with all mobile devices.

    Top level site navigations – the website includes the following sections:

    • Learn: helps to build on energy literacy and features information about Ontario’s electricity sector, supply mix, price and conservation.

    • Get Involved: provides residents, businesses, and communities with information about opportunities for further engagement in the electricity sector – including energy efficiency programs, community engagement, and funding opportunities. Information from the following sites can be found in Get Involved:

    • Aboriginal Energy • microFIT

    • Power Data: contains real-time and historical data on electricity demand, supply, price and conservation.

    • Sector Participants: contains information visitors need to interact with the IESO as a market participant, stakeholder, large customer, local distribution company, contract holder, or an energy developer. Information from the following legacy sites can be found in Sector Participants:

    • FIT • Smart Metering Entity

    • Corporate IESO: provides an overview of corporate governance, practices and policies.

    LearnLearn about the IESO, Ontario’s power system, as well as electricity pricing, energy efficiency and how the electricity market works in Ontario.

    Sector ParticipantsMarket participants, stakeholders, contract holders, large consumers, and LDCs are directed to their own section containing highly specific information important to them.

    Get InvolvedInformation for general consumers on how to participate in energy efficiency efforts and regional planning and community engagement.

    Corporate IESOInformation such as procurement activities, regulatory and corporate accountability, financial reporting, ministerial directives, and leadership.

    Power DataThis section provides easy access to market data, including real-time and historical reports.

    MediaReporters will find timely and relevant information about the IESO, Ontario’s power system and the wholesale electricity market.
