Point and clickDigital impressions with traditional point-and-click technology are limited because they capture images singularly. The camera must focus and then capture the image, move to the next area and repeat.

One scan captures it allUnique to orthodontic impression systems, Ormco’s AFI technology captures data in real time (vs. post-process stitching), acquiring high-definition detail at all angulations of the tooth surface scanned. Lythos provides a 2.5 million 3D points per second data capture which results in a single hi-resolution scan option for added simplicity. An entire, high-resolution dual-arch scan can be completed in about the same time as a traditional PVS impression.
