There are a number of barriers in the educational development of India. Following are the problems associated with it.

A volunteer may take care of the needs of children , their

performances and will have direct interaction with the teachers in the

school as their guardian.

According to the ASER Survey-2012, it had been found that Pupil-teacher ratio is decreasing rapidly. A lot of times , it was more the 45 students/ teacher. So, it is getting difficult for a teacher to handle the number of students. Hence, quality of primary as well as secondary education is deteriorating. “Thus, We need to overcome this problem for better educational quality.”

While more children are going to school, too few are learning to read or absorbing other educational skills critically needed for the betterment of their lives. "The focus is on infrastructure issues like building, enrolment, teacher-student ratio, mid-day meals but focus on education, a child's ability to read, write and learn is not visible,'' said a primary school teacher. Hence , “Proper-monitoring system is required. It will be described in our Parallel-education plan.”

Our society is suffering through a major problem of discrimination between the two genders , due to misbeliefs . Those have to be uprooted from its base . We have to make efforts from a low

level “START FROM YOURSELF”

Due to the educational “business” going on, schools are blindly raising fees without

considering the RTE act. NGOs and GOVERNMENT should make them understand

that they are not bigger than law.

As it is said , “Knowledge is wealth”, but some people give more importance to money. The low class people indulge there children in small-scale businesses instead of sending them to schools. So proper funds should be made available to

such people to make them contribute in educational development of India.

“the future of a country is in the hands of its young generation.” It is the era of young activists like Priyanka Gandhi, Dr. Kumar Vishwas and many others. Our country’s youth is now taking an active part in the social service. According to a survey in a degree college in Ghaziabad, it was seen that more than 25% students are active in social activities like giving primary education is slums, organizing blood donation camps etc.

SOLUTION

PARALLEL EDUCATION PLAN This plan says that, every college should have a social club and it should consist of students who are really interested in social service. And in every area, NGOs there should and be allowed to adopt at least four low-grade schools. And students of the social club should be given authorization to work with them as a supplement(may be additional) to teach the children in evening hours on a routine basis. As per our data, mostly every degree college has around 27% students as volunteers for social service. By using this plan, we can get at least 500 volunteers from a city. For instance, take Ghaziabad. There are around 150 colleges in NCR. If no of students 50 interested in social service from every college is even 50, then total no. of volunteers will be around 7500. Its an ample amount to reduce all the educational crisis if even 50% of them work properly and hence, improving education quality, even in the schools with poorest standard of education.

IMPLEMENTATION

This plan is starting to be implemented by a no. of NGOs namely, H.U.H.C(Help Us To Help The Child), Pratham , which are spreading literacy in the uneducated sections of the society.

We shared this plan of ours with an N.G.O named H.U.H.C and observed that it successfully fulfilled all the criteria of proper education.

This N.G.O has got about 100 members from an engineering college in Ghaziabad. And the volunteers visit a slum area on a routine basis for providing basic education to the children.

These children have now developed their mental ability and basic educational needs(reading , writing etc.).

This organization is itself self sustainable, be it management of the camps or proper functioning of the group.

We can do promotion in colleges explaining them the Parallel Education Plan and help them by involving them in Social Service organizations.

CHALLENGES WAYS TO OVERCOME

IMPACT

Educational quality will become better and better by implementing the plan.

Steep rise in knowledge and IQ of children. Cultural as well as social development of Society as they will

come to understand the importance of basic education. Managerial skills of the volunteers will improve as they will

be interacting with every level of society and serve for them. The Youth will understand there role in nation building.
