Father’s Day
Our annual Father’s days events were a huge hit as usual. This year children had the opportunity to
make a stylish card and a handy photo frame for their dads. Many thanks to all the dedicated mums
who attended to make the event even more popular. I am very pleased to hear that many dad’s were very im-
pressed with their presents and I would like to thank Mrs Parmar for making the event a success!
Young Writers Competition Winners!
For Young Writer's latest competition, Superhero Adventures, Year 1 and 2 pupils were given the fun
task of designing their very own superhero and writing an original story starring their creation. The re-
sult is a book called 'Superhero Adventures-Amazing Escapades' with the awesome collection filled with
fiendish villains plotting dastardly deeds, citizens in peril and ticking time bombs. But with powers rang-
ing from invisibility to flying to laser hands, there is always a superhero to keep the world safe! Con-
gratulations to all our young authors.
Year 1 and 2 go to Kidzania!
As part of an exciting year group trip Years 1 and 2 went to Kidzania in Westfield. They had the opportunity to
do some jobs, earn some kiddzo money and even spend it in the Kidzania shop! In both year groups children
tried working as a range of different job roles, including police officer, paramedic, hotelier, energy engineer, ice cream
maker, chocolatier, Mechanic, amongst many others. Children came back to school and wrote exciting recounts about
their trip which everyone, including the teachers enjoyed immensely! We hope to return again next year!
Brilliance at the Beck!
On Tuesday 14th June, 20 children from Yeading Infants made
their way to the Beck Theatre in Hayes, to take part in a show
with a number of other Hillingdon schools, called ‘Together
we can make a change’. After lots of practice, the children
wowed the audience, including their parents by performing
two songs from the Jungle Book. The children thoroughly en-
joyed performing on stage for over 150 people and we would
like to thank Mrs Cheema, Mrs Greenwood and Miss Canon,
for all their hard work and support. We
look forward to next year!

Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
On Thursday 9th June on a gloriously sunny after-
noon in Yeading Infants playground, all children in
Reception, Year1 and Year2 helped the Queen cele-
brate her 90th Birthday in style We even had a sur-
prise visit from the Royal Family themselves to cut a
brilliant cake made by our very own canteen!
Wear it Wild!
Last term the children did their bit to support animals in danger of extinction by dressing up
in some animal print. Even the teachers dressed up too! We are very pleased to say that
thanks to everyone’s donations we have managed to raise £189.90 for WWF. Thank you eve-
ryone! A big thank you to Mrs Blair for organising such a fun day!
Hillingdon Picture book of the Year!
Once again, this year Yeading Infants took part in the annual Pic-
ture Book of the Year. 5 children from Year 2 made their way to
Civic Centre in Uxbridge to share why the school’s favourite story-
book, ’ The Never Ending Bedtime Story’ should be Hillingdon’s
Picture Book of the year. A huge thank you to Miss Canon, who
worked so hard in supporting the children in their performance!
