In the first, the guy is pushy & “salesy,” in the second, people are fighting each other
to get to you. Which would you rather be? It’s a lot more effective if people are looking for you and WANT to work with you, and that’s the benefit of creating a
strong brand online, and letting opportunity come to you.

Both of these women experienced a scandal, but only Martha Stewart came through it relatively unscathed and still
successful. Why? Because she had a strong, established brand going in, whereas Monica Lewinsky was an unknown entity before her scandal. Lesson: developing a strong brand will help you weather any business challenge
