This is an important foundational year for your Academy and the plans and decisions crafted by your Academy Design Team this year will establish the culture, structure and sustainability of your Academy in the future. How to Use the YOP Guidebook How to Use the YOP Guidebook How to Use the YOP Guidebook How to Use the YOP Guidebook NAF’s YOP Guidebook helps frame the process of developing your Ac ademy by identifying the decisions and outcomes your Academy Design Team should address during the year. The YOP Guidebook is organized into stages of development. In order to provide a general time reference, we have aligned those stages with seasons. Most stages will cross more than one season to provide flexibility in determining when it fits best within your progress. Building Your YOP Portfolio Building Your YOP Portfolio Building Your YOP Portfolio Building Your YOP Portfolio The YOP Guidebook also suggests the type of evidence and documentation your team should gather to provide structure and communication opportunities about your team’s process. These documents are representations of decisions your team has made and indicators of thinking and developmental steps. NAF asks that you assemble these materials into a YOP Portfolio Portfolio Portfolio Portfolio in order to share your progress with other members of this YOP cohort for feedback and input about your Academy design, provide evidence of the creation of Essential and Recommended components (as well as other appropriate materials), and to display at next summer’s Institut e as a model for incoming YOPs. Network Support from NAF Network Support from NAF Network Support from NAF Network Support from NAF NAF staff and consultants offer schools technical support throughout this process. In addition to the YOP Learning Cohort events, designated NAF staff members will check in with your Academy Design Team to monitor progress and help address questions and challenges. We also offer some additional network services and/or on-site technical assistance to address specific needs and goals of your Academy planning process.
