The Story of Yin Yang

The game Yin Yang follows the attempts of a cute but dimwitted race of creatures known as Yin and Yang who are black and white respectively. The Yins and Yangs traveled through a portal into a new dimension. The Yins and Yangs are trying to escape to their home dimension before the cruel creatures of this new world eat them. They are scattered about the world and so they have to struggle to get back to their home planet portals.

The Game of Yin Yang

Players progress through the game of Yin Yang by transporting the characters to portals where they are saved. Each level has opening text that helps the player. Players are rewarded by receiving points for saving Yins and Yangs but are punished if they do not save at least one Yin and one Yang for every level by losing their score so far. The controls are simple making the game accessible for any audience. Each level has a different obstacle as well as a varying number of Yins and Yangs at the start.

How to Play

Direct the Yin and Yang characters toward the small Yin-Yang portals of their corresponding color. Try to get them past the other animals or obstacles without getting hurt, the more Yins and Yangs that reach the portal the better you will do.

Losing the Game

At least one Yin and one Yang must reach the portal for any given level in order to advance. If this does not occur and the remaining Yins and Yangs are killed then the player must repeat the level. If the player has to repeat a level then they lose all of their points, making it almost impossible to have a good score in the overall game.

High Scores

There is a high score screen that one reaches when completing the game. In addition to beating the game there is a secondary goal of doing better then previous players.
