Welcome and Introductions
Rosy Pope welcomed everyone to the meeting. She said she is chairing this meetingas the Lead Director for people with Learning Disabilities for the Association ofDirectors (ADASS) in Yorkshire and Humber.
Everyone introduced themselves.
This meeting was about:
Sharing ideas and good ways of working on employment and getting a job fromlocal areas and across the country
Look at how local areas can help people get jobs
Share updates on other national and regional work

What has happened since the last meeting?
Sam shared a sheet that shows some updates on what has happened since themeeting in March. If anyone wants a paper copy of the reportsjust tell us and we willsend them in the post.
The meeting in March talked about different ways of checking how things are working.
Since then the big report on the Joint Health and Social Care Self - Assessment hascome out. This says what everyone across the country scored on the different bits.

Getting a job the guide for families and how it is working
Dave Barker talked about the Getting a job guide for families.

How we work together at Care 4 All
Sean Brown talked about how Care4All runs different enterprises including a holidaychalet and a caf in North East Lincolnshire which employs people with learning
disabilities. Care 4 All actively try to employ disabled people in their work.

Wakefield Learning Disability Partnership Board reps (Andy and Rowy) to find out list ofpeople to be able to contact for up to date information on how being in paidemployment will effect benefits.
Explore local provision for finding work.

employment to a small number of people with learning disabilities.
Change are looking for new volunteers with learning disabilities to deliver training andmake information accessibleWe will advertise this widely!

Change will work with other companies and organisations to make their workplaces andinformation more accessible.
Change will work with schools to teach children about Hate Crime and also give peer-to-peer support to children with disabilities to give them confidence and break downbarriers.
Suggest North Yorkshire Partnership Board develops Community Mapping of thesupported employment services, local enterprise partnerships (LEPS), socialenterprises, local and regional resourcesin Easy Read!
