Make Local & Long Distance Phone Calls For FREE By Jim Hague NBC is launching a new sitcom called “Out Sourced”. It’s about a business manager from the USA going to India to train a team of customer service reps to deal with American customers. That should be interesting and I look forward to watching on Thursday nights. As a person of East Indian ethnicity, I am proud to see the US embrace India as an important economic ally. Of course Indians have contributed greatly to the USA society for decades. Indians are America’s wealthiest ethnic group, earning an average of $60,000 a year. However I am an American first. Businesses should hire American citizens…first! I know many programmers who are talented and can get the job done right here on our soil. Oh, they can be of East Indian ethnicity (or any ethnicity), so as long as they are ‘tax paying’ American citizens. Here are some of my arguments in favor of keeping web design and other forms of programming ‘inhouse’. 1. The Time Difference One of many factors to be considered is the time difference between the US and the other side of the world. I have spoken to developers as late as 2 am California time when they are just getting into work! This became an issue when a local customer orders corrections or edits but have to wait 24 hours before requests can be fulfilled. 2. The Economic Impact Outsourcing takes jobs away from our own citizens, which drives the US economy down. Hiring illegal immigrants has the same effect. Unemployment results in a down economy. With a down economy, people are afraid to spend for products and services. If no one is buying or ordering work, no one wins regardless how much money you think you will have saved outsourcing. Regardless if it’s web programming or picking grapes it helps our nation to keep tax paying US Citizens employed so that money is better circulated. Politicians, Wall Street and big businesses ignore this fact. By Jim Hague Being a teenager from the 1980′s, I had a good life. After school, I would put away my books, change my clothes, grab a Coke and a cupcake, and then hang around watching MTV (when they were playing videos). Then the doorbell rang. I answer and see a neighbor friend of mine holding a bat and a baseball mitt. I go into my garage, pick up my mitt and run out the door. As we played on our front yard it would not be long before other kids joined us. At 5pm we saw our parents drive into the garage, we knew it was dinnertime. Playtime is over until the next day. We spend our evenings doing homework and watching Yankee games. Fastforward 2010….I am walking my dog through an empty neighborhood. I see two little girls are sitting on the patio. They never notice my dog or me. Instead, they their heads hung low as their fingers danced on a handheld device. Maybe a PSP? Maybe an iPod? When the mother abruptly came out ordering them inside, their heads sprung up and they responded with a ‘huh’? In Napa Valley, Ca, I took a tour bus through the fresh smell and lush beauty of ‘Wine Country.” I can’t help but thank God for the refreshing mind easing journey. I look to my immediate left and saw a mother looking out the window. Her son, however, had lowered his head as his fingers danced on a hand held device. The mother tapped his shoulder, shaking him back to reality. He responded by saying, “huh?” A few days later, I am at an Inland Empire, Ca frozen yogurt place. I took a small Styrofoam cup, poured a chocolate yogurt from the dispenser, and then added little chocolate chips and fudge. While doing this I noticed the teenage girl at the counter. She didn’t pay attention to what I was doing, nor did she care. I could have done jumping jacks in front of her, but she was too busy text messaging her friends. I asked, “How is business?” She looked at me as if I intruded her space. She responded with a ‘huh?’ I am driving on a freeway during rush traffic in Los Angeles. I look to my left. I could barely see the young lady’s head, but could clearly see her hands texting on top of the steering wheel. Seconds later, that Nissan drove right into the back of large Ford Pick Up truck. The Nissan was totaled. The Ford was unscathed. I wondered if she said, ‘huh?’ OUTSOURCING – Keep it in the USA!

SSMMAALLLL BBUUSSIINNEESSSS && TTEECCHHNNOOLLOOGGYY3. Outsourcing Pricing SchemesA good US developer can costbetween $20 to $35/hour. Ateam I used from overseascharged me only $15/hour.Beware! Just because theoverseas developers rates arelower does not necessarily resultin a lower invoice. My formeroverseas team charged me 9hours to add a single item to ashopping cart. My developer here

in the US took no more than tenminutes. I discovered thatmy US programmers cost me lessbecause their work was done fast, efficient…and honest.4. Where’s the human touch? The phone connection withoverseas companies is often poorand often disruptive with static. While Skype is a good solution, itwill never replace the facetofaceinteraction with programmerswhen necessary. Sometimes, it’s

necessary to have that personalmeeting to discuss a project thenfollowed by a handshake.5. A bad experienceI had hired an overseas teamto work on a project that requiredheavy database programming. Atfirst all was going well. Thensuddenly the programming grewso sloppy that the site did notfunction. Deadlines were missed.I was helpless. I had given theoverseas team the funding

needed and the programmingwas too complex for me to handlemyself. The client grew frustrated tothe point where he canceled theproject and sued to get somemoney back. Fortunately, wecame to an agreement and nomoney was exchanged. Howeverthat ended the project as well asthe relationship between theoverseas team and myself.

Now if you do find greatprogrammers from overseas andthey are getting the job done, then keep their services! It’s all inyour discretion. For me, however,I will not hire from outside ofSouthern California. Today whenI need to discuss a project, I’lljust meet my new programmers, who are American citizens ofIndian ethnicity, over a spicycuisine at my favorite Indianrestaurant.

By Trent LeeYou don't want to over stretchyour business credit. One way tosolve this problem is through theuse of office equipmentleasing. There are manyadvantages of office equipmentleasing. This article will look atthe advantages of using thismethod as opposed to purchasingequipment outright. Leasingallows you to afford more of whatyou need for the business becauseit helps to improve your cashflow.Purchasing equipmentusually requires some sort offinancing through loans or savedcash. Purchasing also requires adown payment while leasing doesnot. As businesses start up it'sdifficult to be able to purchase allof the equipment you need to getgoing. You might not be able toafford the copy machine, fax, phones, and chairs you need, butthrough leasing you can put it alltogether in a payment that youcan manage. In addition, itprovides your business with amore professional image and canimprove and boost employeemorale and productivity.Leases are easier to financethan purchases. Most lenders willrequire a history of several yearsbefore deciding upon lendingfinances. Leasing institutionsusually require only a few monthsof financial history beforedeciding upon leasing decisions. The collateral for leasingequipment is usually the

equipment itself. In that sense, recuperation is much easierbecause the equipment can bereclaimed without much loss.Leasing allows you to takeadvantage of new technology. Weall know that technology isconstantly changing andimproving.By leasing you are able toupgrade machinery and haveaccess to technicians for minimalcosts. Leasing also allows you totry out different types of optionsbefore a purchase decision ismade. Leasing offers taxadvantages as well as advantagesto your balance sheet. This canhelp to improve your financialindicators. Accounting rules

require that certain leaseagreements must be reported andother do not.If you do decide thatleasing is a viable option for you, keep in mind to keep your leaseagreements in shorter timeframes.Try to negotiate substitutionclauses allowing you to changeout equipment. Insist upon acancellation clause that allowsyou to cancel services for aminimal fee or penalty. If youthink that purchasing theequipment might be a futuristicplan, build that into yourcontract. Some companies havelease purchase options availableto many clients who wish toutilize this option.

By Lynette BurganBefore small businessentrepreneurs begin to write abusiness plan, they first needto think about the audiencewho will read it. Knowing whowill be reading it can helpdetermine what needs to beincluded in the plan. There arefour main types of audiences:owners, investors, suppliers, and managers. Each of thesefour groups will be interestedin different parts of a businessplan. In addition to provingprofitability, owners will wantto write a business plan aboutthe daytoday operations –especially if they will berunning the business

themselves. They will need todescribe the products orservices provided and how theyare produced. They will need toknow what will be expectedfrom employees. And, they willneed to document their planfor the sales and marketingprocess. These are all importantaspects of the dailymanagement of a new businessstart up.Investors, or lenders, will bemost interested in the financialstatements. They will want toknow how much money theowner(s) will invest in thebusiness and how much isexpected from investors, howmuch total money will beneeded to get the businessstarted, and when the businesswill be able to pay back theloan. Some of the most typicalfinancial statements includedin a business plan are theincome statement, cashflowforecast, balance sheet, andbreakeven and ratio analysis.Investors will review thefinancial statements to analyzethe risk of lending money tothe small business start up.Sometimes suppliers willneed to review a business plan,

too. If a new business is askingfor a credit line from asupplier, the supplier will readthe plan as part of the creditapplication process. When asmall business entrepreneur iswriting a business plan with asupplier in mind, they'll needto focus on the supplies orequipment needed in the newbusiness, including whatexactly they'll need, how manysuppliers they will have, andhow they'll pay off the suppliesor equipment. A newrestaurant, for example, mayhave two major suppliers: onefor food and one forequipment. The least commonaudience is managers. Some

business may have multiplelocations. In this case, thesmall business entrepreneurwill want to make sure thoselocation managers understandand share their same vision forthe company. They will alsowant all managers to conductthe business in a consistentmanner at all locations andwill want the managers toknow the financialexpectations they will need tomeet. Just like the owner, managers should have a roadmap or guide for running thedaytoday operations of asmall business start up.It's important for a smallbusiness entrepreneur tounderstand their audiencebefore they begin to write abusiness plan since eachaudience will want answers todifferent questions.Considering the owners, investors, suppliers, andmanagers will make writing abusiness plan much easier andmore successful.

This month I pondered onwhat I was going to writeabout. My thoughts were :“Negative and PositiveThinking. It appears thatmany are more accustom tohearing, speaking, thinkingand feeling negative aboutwhat is going on in the worldand in their life. We hear allthe negative news before wehear the positive news. Whenin a conversation and talkingabout our jobs, associates andsituations it usually is thenegative first that comes out ofthe conversation. When Igo out amongst people Iusually try to make eye contactand greet them with a smile orsome kind of gesture. In mostcases I get a smile or gesture ofsome sort returned, but somany of the people lookstressed out. They seemdisconnected from what isaround them and preoccupiedwith Texting, Gaming ortalking on their cellphones.I want to remind you tostart thinking and doingpositive things to ward offnegative thinking. Whenthinking negative about theeconomy turn it into a positive.Turn your thoughts into howcan I come up with an idea toincrease my income, maybestart a small business out of

something you’re already goodat. Maybe you already have asmall homebased businessand you haven’t been doneanything with it. What anopportunity to roll your sleevesup and start working withwhat you already have.Everybody has something thatthey are good at, if you don’thave an idea what you wouldbe good at or if you lackconfidence ask someone who isclose to you, they may see whatyour good at.If you have negativethoughts about yourself, whatever it is, promiseyourself that you will turn itaround. Living in the positiveis whats happening now. It istoo much negative all aroundus everyday and we have somecontrol over that. Everydaythere will be struggles in thislife, some of them we have achoice we can decide and somewe don’t. Figure out a way tolearn from it, refuse to be apart of it and if it can’t beavoided try to find a way tocope with it and not let it turneveryday into a negative day.All of us go through some ofthe same things, but just at adifferent time. My point is bepositive in your actions andsoon life will appear better foryourself and others aroundyou.

As a twoterm elected official, ithas been my pleasure and honorto serve as Vice President of theBoard at the Inland EmpireUtilities Agency (IEUA) and ViceChairman of the Board ofDirectors at the MetropolitanWater District of SouthernCalifornia (MWD). I have workedon projects bringing recycledwater to our communities, finding renewable sources ofenergy, like solar and windpower, and supported andworked toward legislation thatwould insure continued safe andreliable water supplies to ourregion. I have had theopportunity to work and buildstrong partnerships with otherelected officials throughout theInland Empire, our state andcountry. I have learned how toutilize all of the available

resources on every level tomaximize results in forwardgrowth and progress. When I was first elected in2002, I pledged the voters that Iwould be their “voice of reason”and that I would make sure thatwe received our fair share of thewater projects slated for thisregion. I am proud to say I livedup to my campaign promises.Over $150 million in waterinfrastructure projects werecompleted in Fontana over thepast eight years and creatednearly 2000 jobs for our region. And now, in 2010, I am pledgingto create revenue for the InlandEmpire Utilities Agency and morejobs for the people I represent. We have stepped up productionof three products: recycled water, renewable energy and acomposted soil amendmentwhich will allow us to hold ratessteady for two years while addingat least $10 million annuallythrough new revenues.* Selling more recycled water toregional businesses. Recycledwater revenues are expected tooffset 20% of wastewateroperations and maintenancecosts by 2015* Using more renewableenergy. The agency generates45% of its electricity and expectsto be completely off the grid by2020* Wholesaling composted soilamendment. Composting biosolids costs about half of othersolidshandling options, that is,the effective net cost is $35/ton

compared to $60 to $80/ton tolandfill solids.I will continue to work diligentlyto provide our residents withplentiful, clean water at the bestpossible price. I want voters toknow that the Inland EmpireUtilities Agency does not setwater rates. Water rates here inthe City of Fontana are controlledby the Fontana Water Company. The best and easiest way tocontrol your rates is to conserve. There are many simple ways toconserve water every day in ourhomes and businesses. One of themost useful websites for waterconservation tips iswww.bewaterwise.com. I haveshared many of these tips withthe students while implementingthe “Garden in Every School”program. My family and I have livedin Fontana for 22 years and areproud to call Fontana home. Welove the diversity this City has tooffer and recognize the value ithas in raising our family. Webelieve our children are ourgreatest character reference andwork hard to ensure theirsuccess. The decisions we makenow pave the future for them. Please support me in theNovember 2nd election.Angel Santiago is running for reelection to the Inland EmpireUtilities Agency Division 4. After each interview questionthere is a concern or anadditional question. Yourresponsibility is to process theinquiry thinking about what theinterviewer's concern might be.In other words, why is theinterviewer asking you thisquestion?Q1 How long have youbeen looking for a job? (Concern is there something wrong withyou that other employers havepicked up?)A1 "After I was letgo from my previous job, I tookthe break to take a little time toassess my career goals and whereI was going with my life. I havejust begun my search in theprevious few weeks. I have adefinite objective in mind andhave been selective concerningthe positions I contemplate. Yourbusiness and this situation are ofsignificant interest to me."Q2 How did you get ready for thiscareer job interview? (Concern are you interested enough to do alittle research, or are youplanning to "wing it"?)A2 "When I found this positionposted on the net (monster.com)I was instantaneously attracted. Ichecked out the company site aswell as the mission statement, looked at the bios of companyfounders and executives, and wasimpressed. After I had the jobinterview appointment, I talkedwith associates andacquaintances in the industry. Also, I'm sure I'll find a lot more

during today's meetings."Q3 What is your salary expectationfor this job? (Concern Can wemanage to pay for you? Can weget you for less thanbudgeted?)A3 "I'll want moreinformation with reference to thejob as well as the responsibilitiesinvolved before discussing salary. Can you provide me an idea ofthe range budgeted intended forthis position?"Q4 How do youkeep current and knowledgeableabout your job and the industriesthat you have worked in?(Concern Once you get the jobdo you continue to learn anddevelop stay challenged andmotivated?)A4 "I pride myselfon my ability to stay on top ofwhat is happening in my trade. Ido a lot of reading the businesssection of the newspapers andmagazines. I belong to a couple ofprofessional organizations andnetwork with colleagues at theconferences. I take classes andseminars whenever they are ofimportance, or offer freshinformation or technology."Q5 Tell me about a time when youhad to set up and coordinate aproject from start to end.(Concern behavioral questions looking for an instance of certainpast behavior)A5 " I headed upa project which involved clientservice personnel andtechnicians. I organized ameeting to get everybodytogether to brainstorm and get

his or her input. From thisbusiness meeting I drew up adesign, taking the best of theideas. I prepared groups, balancing the mixture ofspecialized and nontechnicalpeople. We had a deadline tomeet, so I did periodic checkswith the groups. After threeweeks, we ended up exceedingexpectations, and were able tobegin implementation of thestrategy. It was a enormous teameffort, and a huge achievement. Iwas commended by managementon behalf of my leadership, but Iwas most proud of the teamdetermination and cooperationwhich it took to pull it off."Q6 What types of individuals do youhave difficulties working with?(Concern ability to be flexibleand work in a diverseatmosphere?)A6 "In myprevious three jobs I have workedwith men and women from vastlydiverse backgrounds andcultures. The single instance Ihad trouble was with people whowere being dishonest about workissues. I worked with one ladywho was taking recognition forwork that her group completed. Ihad an occasion to chat with herone day and explained how shewas upsetting the morale. Shebecame incredibly distressed thatsome others saw her that way,and believed she was unaware ofher conduct or the reactions ofother people. Her actions

changed following ourconversation. What I learned as aresult of that occurrence is thatfrom time to time what weperceive regarding other peopleis not always the case if we checkit out."Q7 We expect managersto work more than 8 hours a day.Do you have a problem with that?(Concern are you a workaholicor a person who requiresbalance?)A7 "I have no troubleworking lengthy hours. I haveworked 12 or 14 hour days. WhatI have found works for me is towork smarter, not necessarily fora longer time. My target is to getthe job completed, whatever thatcalls for, in the most efficientmanner."Q8 When have youbeen most pleased in yourcareer? (Concern whatmotivates you? Or demotivatesyou?)A8 "The job prior to theone I am currently at, was mymost satisfying experience forme. I worked in a wonderful teamsetting. There was a lot ofcamaraderie. I worked with agroup of four people and we didsome truly creative thinking. It isthat style of setting I would liketo be involved in again."Q9 Whydo you want this job? (Concern are you using the shotgunapproach to job search or do youin fact realize what youdesire?)A9 "I've been especiallycareful about the organizationswhere I have applied. As soon asI saw the advertisement for this

opportunity, I recognized I foundwhat I was looking for. What Ican bring to this job is my sevenyears of knowledge, andknowledge of the industry, alongwith my ability to connect andcreate customer relationships. That, along with my versatilityand organizational competencies, makes me a perfect match forthis opportunity. I perceive a fewchallenges in the future of mehere, and that's what I thrive on.I have what you need, and youhave what I want."Q10 We areready to put together an offer. Are you prepared to accepttoday? (Concern we do notdesire you to go away anddeliberate about it and changeyour mind we desire you.)A10 "Based on my research and theinformation I have gatheredthroughout the job interviewprocess, I feel I am in a place toconsider an offer. I do,nevertheless, have a personalpolicy that I give myself at least24 hours to make key lifedecisions. I could let you know bytomorrow."There is no way youcan precisely predict thequestions that will be asked in ajob interview, however you canbe ready and prepared bythinking about the points thatmight concern an interviewer oremployer before the interview.

truth. The wine skins representthe mind, or that which containsthe truth. Now men don’t putnew wine in old wine skins, sohow much more so that Godwouldn’t put new wine in oldskins. So you must open yourmind, renew your mind beflexible and expand your mind.Ask yourself this question, is mymind old or new, and am I willingto do what is necessary to renewmy mind on a daily bases?Jesus said it another way. Youcan not serve two master at thesame time, you will love one andhate the other. The earth mind orearth truth, or carnal mind, can’tbe mixed with the PURE TRUTHOF GOD! It just will not work!If I were reading this, Iwould whisper a prayer, alongabout now, and I would ask theLORD to shine the light of truthin every area of my being, whereany residue of earth truth mightremain hiding in the shadows ofmy mind. I would give the light oftruth full range to the secretchambers of my being. Where thelight shines it remainspermanent, and what the lightexposes it render it ineffective, itloses its dominance over your life. You are now totally free of it, it ornothing like it can ever troubleyou again. That is why the light oftruth is so important.Oh light shining ever so brightGuiding me through this darknight, Into the depth of my heart

you I invite. Shining on my leftand on my right. Revealing mystrengths and my might.Holding me in your powers everso tight. For more of you is myconstant fight Your fruit is sweet, and my greatest delight. Oh lightkeeping me ever in your sight!By elmBecause the earth mindtruth or the carnal mind is enmityagainst God! We are not talkingabout sin here, this has nothingto do with sin. It is aboutbondage, its about limitationrestriction, and fear. It is aboutbeing unable to reach yourpotential. They do not know thegreat image of God within them.We are told that the image of Godhas been marred by sin, but theimage of God has not, is not, norever will be marred by sin or anything else. His image is for eversettle and perfect, man ornothing in this universe will orcan change that! That pure and unadulteratedimage of God, Pure God, and Godwith out mixture of any kind, total God, and only God, totalgood. That is your divine, or Godpotential. So open your mindsand began to think like Godthinks. Then no longer will ithave to be said that; My thoughtsare not your thoughts, neither areyour ways my ways, saith theLord. For as the heavens arehigher than the earth, so are myways higher than your ways, and

my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, andthe snow fall from heaven andreturn not there, but water theearth and maketh it bring forthand bud, that it my give seed tothe sower, and bread to the eater. But this is what will be said;So shall my word be that goes outof my mouth, it shall accomplishthat which I please, and it shallprosper in the things where Isend it. For you shall go out withjoy and be led forth with peace;the mountains and the hills shallbreak forth before you intosinging and all the trees of thefield shall clap their hands.(Isaiah, 55:812)We are going back in history nowto claim some unclaimedpromises of GodNow listen; Instead of the thornshall come up the fir tree, andinstead of the brier shall come themyrtle tree; and it shall be to theLord for a name, for aneverlasting sign that shall not becut off. (Isaiah 55:13)A new day is here for thenew people of the Lord, instead ofhard times; LET THE GOODTIMES ROLL! If I were you Iwould read the above twoparagraph two or three moretimes and let it sink down in mymind, this is not for anothergeneration or another people it is

for you. Oh if I could show youwho you are, and where you arestanding, I will help you to siegethis moment, with the Great Godof all this universe as our partner, and then team up with the HolySpirit, we are the ones that willturn this world right side up! Youwould know that you areunstoppable, you are unmovable, you are invincible, you areunshakable, you are unsinkable, you are unassailable,You are unconquerable. Whenever YOU want to be! You see, there is no weapon formedagainst you, how can a weaponprosper? Did you know that youare uncursable? Know that youcan only be blessed! No matterwho tries to curse you. There are too many people withoutsin who live in fear and bondage's.They are some of the sweetest andmost religious, and church goingpeople that you will ever meet, theypay tithes, they help the poor, theyfeed the hungry, and many otherwonderful things, but they do notknow this wonderful thing calledfreedom, but I am here to help youto change all of that and remove allthose restriction and self imposedlimitation, so you may unshacklemind. GOD's gift to man- "The Mind" Part 2

By Diann WhiteKnow that God has given you the power to be more thanconquerors; and you can conquer the present situation. Don’tpause in it, press on!2 Corinthians 6:410 (NIV) says; Rather, as servants of God wecommand ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; inhard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the holy spirit and in sincere love; intruthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons ofrighteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory anddishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded asimpostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, yet we live on;beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yetmaking many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

“AT THE FEET OFJESUS” A Place of

By Loretta Jean CrudupThe subject of death is often acause of concern in each person'slife. This is a subject ofimportance that should not beignored. We as humans have afear of preparing our loved onesbefore our death. I've heard thisstatement many times fromindividuals, especially men. Ihave heard men say, “Oh buryme in the backyard or in a field”.For these families when death

does occur the family has toscramble to fry fish or chicken, wash cars, or turn to churches togive their loved one the properresting place. It is best to thinkmaturely and positively in thisarea of preparing ahead for suchtime. There are a few suggestions toaid you before the day comes. You can call a mortuary close toyour home and they canset an arrangement for

you to pay on a monthly basis. There are Insurance companiesin the yellow pages or there mayeven be someone you know thatis selling insurance. Even yourbank or job may offer lifeinsurance. The main thing is tostart preparing ahead of time. “Itis appointed for man/woman todie once”, but we must preparefor the after life in God. Fear is a

terrible spirit to have in any ofyour dealings or thoughts but wemust be prepared for whateverwill come. Life is short for weknow not when, where, how (notwhy) it will come.Lets stop talking andthinking foolishly for it is ourresponsibility to ourselves andour loved ones. Taking themature steps will help us look

back and say I'm so happy Iprepared my loved ones. Theseare memories that never goaway, either knowing that youdid all you could to prepare orthinking you should have donebetter to prepare for such a day.

By Chris ChewMost people know that theyneed to lift weight build muscles. However many just want to havenice muscle tone and anattractive but not too muscularbody as they do not want bigmuscles. So they just lift lightweights with high repetitions.Well, it is not going to work. Tohave nice muscle tone, you willhave to build some musclesright? So you will have to liftheavy to force your muscles togrow. Once you are satisfied withthe size of your muscles, you willthen need to cut your body fatsfor your muscles to show up welland that means nice muscle tone. You need to have a solidcommitment and knowledge toget nice muscle tone and build an

attractive muscular body. Hereare some muscle building tips. Before you commence weighttraining, remember to warm upand as well as doing somestretching exercises.•Train Muscle With Free WeightsMachines will have its uses, butfor a start, concentrate on freeweights. That means work almostexclusively with barbells anddumb bells. Free weights recruitmany stabilizing muscles forbalance and control. That meansyou will work a lot more muscleparts other than the intendedones. That will give rise to littlebumps, striations and definitionsall over your body instead of onehuge lump of muscle on yourintended muscle. Because of theextra stimulant created, your

muscles grow faster too. Why elsedo you think all professionalbody builders almost exclusivelyuse free weights?•Train With Compound ExercisesIncorporate as many compoundexercises as possible to yourroutines. Compound exercisesare exercises that involve 2 ormore joint movements. Becausethey utilize more joints, whichmeans greater muscle mass areinvolved. Greater muscle massmeans heavier weights. Heavierweights mean encouragement ofgreater muscle growth. Moremuscle growth means more toneto your muscles. Some excellent compoundexercises are the Squat, Deadlift,Chin ups, Dips, Bench press,Barbell Press, Lunges, BentOver

Barbell Row...etc.•Train Intensively But Do NotOver trainYou must train intensively foryour muscle to grow. Try to domore reps or add more weightthan the previous session or elseyour muscles will think (actuallymuscles don't think, they adapt),"Ah... we've done that. Nothingnew, so no need to grow biggerand stronger." That being thecase, you will wreck your chancesof attaining an attractivemuscular body.Because of this, it is importantthat every time you train hard, you give your body time torecover as it has suffered strainsand actually sustained manysmall scarring. Contrary topopular belief, your muscles growwhen you rest, especially whenyou sleep and not in the gym. Sosleep at least 8 hours a day. Also,do not train everyday or work thesame muscle group more thanonce or twice a week. If yourtraining was vigorous enough, dono more than an hour persession.Try not to do cardio work on thesame day as your weight liftingwork. In fact, during the musclebuilding phase, you should doless cardio work as aerobicexercises burn muscles. You canincrease your cardio work atcutting body fat phase, so as tolose body fat in order for yourmuscle tone to show up nicely.•Technique And FormThis is the most neglectedfundamental of bodybuilding.Everywhere, everyday, you willsee people using wrong formsand techniques. This not onlycompromises your growth, it willalso make you susceptible toinjuries... sometimes evenpermanently putting you out ofthe gym.Wrong form occurs usually whenpeople try to lift weights that aretoo heavy, whether out of vanity

or ignorance. As a guide, alwayslift with strict focus on themuscle you intend to build forthat exercise. Feel it contract andextend. Lift the weightsdeliberately and slowly. Neverever swing your weights upespecially when doing bicep curlsor the military press.•To Build Muscles Fast You MustPerform Lower Body Exercises! This is what most people don'trealize. Your lower body makesup 6070% of your musculature. If you don't train them, not onlywill you look spiderlegged, yourentire body will not grow asquickly and as large. Don't thinkthat you can hide those skinnylimbs in pants! Most people donot train their legs becausesquats, dead lifts and lunges canbe very grueling exercises. But itis precisely because of suchintensity that you will producemore growth hormones whenyou sleep and overall musculardevelopment is stimulated. Yourbody shape will also be morebalanced and therefore moreattractive.Do read up more to understandhow your muscles work and thenwork on it so that in no time youwill be a proud owner of a welltone attractive muscular body.

By Desmond The subject ofmissing a car payment can beraised in good economicsituations but is much more of aconcern to people in a pooreconomic climate. Maybe you

just are not bringing in themoney you need or you have afamily emergency causing you tohave less money this month thanyou expected to so you are justnot able to make the carpayment. What should you do?

Off course your best betis not to get into thissituation in the firstplace but if you cannotavoid it then you have todecide what the best wayto handle it is. Youcould inform the lenderthat you are havingtrouble with thepayment but it may be adifficult step for you. Itis a possibility that thelender might justappreciate yourcommunication andwant to help you.You need totake some time toresearch how much yourvehicle is worth and howmuch your payoff is.The resale value couldend up being worth quite a bitmore than your balance on thevehicle. If it is worth more thanyou owe, one option would beselling the vehicle privately tocover what you owe and possiblyeven make a small profit. When

you call call your lender beprepared to answer the followingquestions: Why are you unable tomake your payment this month? What is your present financialsituation? The lender must knowthe situation before they couldoffer any assistance. After theyevaluate the situation they mayeven give you the option to deferyour payment for 30 days. The possibility of a loandeferment may depend onseveral factors including yourcredit score, your paymenthistory with this particularlender, the reason for yourinability to pay and other detailsregarding your situation.Another possible option would beto refinance your loan. Withrefinancing, there is a possibilityyou may have to accept a loanwith a higher interest rate. Evenwith the higher interest rate, thefact that your loan is spread overa longer period of time, yourmonthly payment will likely bereduced. In any case, you want

to prevent your vehicle frombeing repossessed. If your car isrepossessed it could be sold atauction to the highest bidder. After your car is sold at theauction you will have still have topay the amount remaining onyour loan after they deduct theamount they collected at auction.Your credit rating will also benegatively affected if you allowthe vehicle to be repossessed. This seizure of property on yourrecords will make it moredifficult to obtain any type ofloan in the future. The lowercredit score, as you may wellknow, can have otherunfavorable consequence as well. When you can't make a carpayment, there may be optionsbut you must contact yourlender to discuss them. Nooptions will be completelypleasant but you will never evenknow what your options areunless you just face the situationhead on.

It is exciting to land yourfirst job, receive that firstpaycheck, buy that new car orhouse, but should you really liveabove your means? The answer isno. You should never buysomething you can't afford. Iunderstand most people have amortgage or car payment, butyou shouldn't buy a $300K houseif you only make $100K or a$60K car if you only make $30Ka year. My husband and I wereeating lunch out everyday, but werealized that we were spendingway to much on food. So, wemade a deal to only eat out twicea week and the other three dayswe pack our lunch. We havesaved $3K this year, just bypacking our lunch three days a

week. We can use that $3K to payan extra couple house paymentsor car payments. There aremultiple ways to save money, which in essence will put moremoney if your pocket!Think about a $3 cup ofStarbucks coffee. If you are acoffee drinker you probably haveone a day. You will spend about$1000 a year of coffee. It is funto get the cup and enjoy thewhole experience, but wouldn'tyou rather buy a $10 bag ofStarbucks coffee and brew ityourself. You can buy cardboardcups! I agree it is nice to have acup of Starbucks coffee onoccasion, but I can have it everymorning at my house and officefor a fraction of the cost.

If you use these techniquesand adopt this method ofthinking you would saveyourself an enormous amountof money. Just in these twoexamples, you could saveyourself $4000 a year, that is$20,000 in five years. Thiscould be tuition for your highschool child, contributions toyour IRA or 401(K).You can buy the Coachpurse, Nike shoes or Suit, butthere are plenty of ways to buyat cheaper prices. You can usecoupons, wait for a sale or buyat discount shops.I would rather save money, cut back in certain areas and usethe savings to put towardsretirement so I can retire at at

earlier age, spend it on travelingor make an extra mortgagepayment. If you are struggling with reasonswhy you can't afford somethingor your wallet seems empty, but

not sure why? Think about theabove examples and I promiseyou will be surprised!

By Jason DilelloMillions of people around theworld have been affected by therecent economic crisis. There hasbeen a sharp increase in thenumber of loan defaults, foreclosures, liens andrepossessions in the country sincethe economic crisis first eruptedin 2008. Most of the people ororganizations, who were not ableto meet their financialobligations, had enormousamounts of loans and debts andthey got into a worse situationafter the recession.People who have beenthrough financial crisis know thatit is a very difficult situation to bein but there are definitely waysout of this crisis. One of the waysto deal with this situation is byopting to file for bankruptcy. Many individuals think that it willbe detrimental for their credithistory and reputation if they filefor bankruptcy but not being ableto pay off debt can have even

more serious consequences. So inmany cases it is better to file forbankruptcy and make a freshstart. If you are facing such asituation, then the first thing thatyou should do is to find a goodbankruptcy lawyer who couldguide you about the best possibleway out of your financial crisis. There are many debt reliefagencies who offer assistance tobankrupt or debt riddenindividuals as well as businessesbut not all of them are reliableand experienced. You will need todo a bit of research to find a goodand experienced bankruptcyattorney for you.Once you have found a goodlawyer, make an appointmentwith him and discuss yourfinancial situation. He will be ableto explain you the specific pointsin law and how these laws work inorder to save people fromfinancial crisis. Your attorney willalso be able to determine if you

can settle your debts byliquidating your assets or whetherfiling for bankruptcy is the onlyoption left for you.Your bankruptcy lawyer may alsohelp you to settle your debts withthe help of a debt reorganizationplan. This plan will need to beapproved by the prevailing court. If the bankruptcy court feels thatyou have the capacity to pay offyour debt after some time, thenthey can prevent you from filingfor bankruptcy. In this case, yourdebts will be reorganized andyou will be given a specific timeframe to clear your debts.Once you are out of thefinancial crisis, make sure thatyou do not have to face such aproblem in your life again.Organize your finances andremain committed to repayingyour debts on time. If you will notlearn to manage your financesthen you will multiply your ownproblems.

By Josephine WilliamsSo many colleges to choose from– where does one turn? Formany high school graduates, community college is the answer.Others, however, will decide toenroll directly into a fouryearcollege or university. TheCalifornia State University (CSU)system is one level of fouryearcolleges. There are twentyfourCSU’s; ten are in SouthernCalifornia. They admit the topthird of California high schoolgraduates which makes up morethan 430,000 students. Theseschools offer more than twohundred degrees and certificateprograms. About half ofCalifornia’s Bachelor’s degreesand a third of Master’s degreesare awarded by a CSU. Thissystem is very important to theworld of education but requireslongterm planning. This planning begins in middleschool and is crucial in highschool. Middle school studentsmust begin making plans so thatthey are on a college track in highschool. They must make surethey develop good study skills, earn good grades, and takeacademically challenging classes.

Then, the student is prepared forcollege preparatory classes inhigh school. College entrancerequirements from high schoolare: 2 years history/socialstudies, 4 years English, 3 yearsmath, 2 years laboratory science,2 years of foreign language, 1 yearvisual performing arts, 1 yearcollege prep elective. These areminimum requirements – themore the better becausecompetition is keen. TakingAdvance Placement (AP) and

other challenging classes is anadded advantage.Besides course requirements, certain tests are recommendedand required in some cases. Inthe sophomore year, the CSUbound student should take thePLAN (preliminary ACT) and/orthe PSAT (preliminary SAT)tests. These tests get your nameout to the education public. Takethe ACT/SAT early in case itneeds to be repeated. Finally, take AP exams in the senior year.Earning a C grade or better in

required courses and scoringhigh on the exams guaranteecollege credit. If these requirements seemimpossible to achieve, don’tdespair. All campuses except oneparticipate in the EducationalOpportunity Program (EOP). Itis tailored to improve access toand retention in college for lowincome and educationallydisadvantaged students.Admission to college under thisprogram includes financial aid.Indicate on the application ifyou’re applying for this program. These colleges are striving to beinclusive, and so take advantageof the opportunity.Another major considerationis cost. CSU is a huge upgradefrom the community college, andso the cost is greater. Totalexpenses for the current yearrange from $14,887$20,787depending on livingarrangements: on campus, offcampus, at home. Help isavailable to help pay for college.Financial aid is available forthose who need help. Aid comesin the form of grants, loans, scholarships, and workstudy andis labeled achievementbased and

needbased. Obviously, loansmust be paid back but not grantsand scholarships. There are nineprograms listed under FAFSA,federal student aid. Apply forthese programs in the senioryear. This article has presented anoverview of the CSU system.Interested students mustcomplete a comprehensiveinvestigation to fill in the details.A good start is the CSUMentorwebsite which will lead to otheruseful sites. High school juniorsneed to begin immediately;seniors are already behind andmust work extremely hard tocatch up. Get busy – your futureis waiting!

So what does this tell you? Handheld devices such are turning usinto human zombies. No handheld willever replace blossoming flowers, the clear blue sky, or the smell offresh grass on a baseball field. For safety, the laws regardingtexting and driving are not toughenough. Are handheld deviceshere to stay? Oh yes. As long asApple and Verizon makes itsbillions, it’s here to stay. But it

does not have to take over ourlives. I have a blackberry, but …* I don’t text or email while Idrive.* I only text when necessaryand if I am in the company ofsomeone, I say a polite ‘excuseme’ before I proceed to text.* When I am not working Idon’t answer emails* If riding on a bus, I don’t playhandheld games.
