Common Materials of Construction.....
Available with many special materials of construction and options to meet yourspecific application requirements. Conservative mechanical designs utilizingoversized pump shafts with appropriately selected bearings assure long equipmentlife through low radial stress and reduced shaft deflection during difficult operatingconditions.
Edward and Charles Yeomans began operation on the near north side of Chicago in 1898.The Yeomans Brothers Company specialized in the first vertical shaft bilge pump, and laterexpanded by adding a growing line of sewage pumps for the waste treatment, industrialwaste and process markets. Today, from our state-of-the art facilities at Aurora, Illinois,Yeomans Pump continues the traditions of quality, reliability and customer value that wereestablished at our founding.
Yeomans Series 6000 non-clog pumps are the ideal choice for pumping sewage, sludge, corrosives, caustics, light slurries, drainage, storm water and industrial by-products.Heavy-duty industrial quality, superior design features and a wide range of materials andoptions combine to provide the user with the ultimate in long service life and system reliability.
With every Yeomans Dry-Pit Solids-Handling pumpyou benefit from the following standard features.....
1- Rugged dust-proof pump bearing journal with double-row ball thrust bearing, ball or roller radial bearing,40,000 hour minimum L-10 bearing life at the most extreme operating points on the pump curve, minimum100,000 hours at the primary duty point. Frame is machined to assure positive, accurate shaft alignment andis provided with the necessary fittings for lubrication.
2- Enclosed multi-vane non-clog impeller passes 2-1/2" to 7" spherical solids, extremely smooth contours, devoid of sharp corners, prevents rags or stringy, fibrous material from catching or clogging. Highefficiency designs reduce horsepower requirements and lower electrical operating costs.
3- Contoured handhole inspection cover in casing.
4- Large diameter, high strength alloy steel shaft to providemaximum stiffness that prevents vibration and fatiguedue to unusual operating conditions.
5- Repelling back pump-out vanes to minimizeend-thrust, reduce pressure on the stuffing boxand prevent clogging.
6- Tapered shaft impeller engagement for positivealignment and ease of removal at the impeller hub.Includes keyway with key, stainless steel washerand locknut.
7- Hardened stainless steel shaft sleeve toprotect the machined and polished alloy steelshaft. Stainless steel shaft material is optional.
8- Micrometer axial shaft adjustment for easyadjustment to maintain clearance and reducewear due to recirculation betweenthe impeller eye and suction plate.
9- Packed stuffing box standard; doublemechanical seal optional.
10- Hardened stainless steel wearrings optional for both thesuction cover and impeller.
11- Suction and backplate areseparate components;complete rotating assembly can easilybe removed without disturbing the pumpsuction or discharge piping.
12 - Rugged, thick-walled reversible ("flip-over") casings provide for clockwise or counter-clockwise rotationusing CW or CCW impeller. Discharge nozzle may be positioned on 45º increments.
Yeomans Pump offers anypump application a wide rangeof efficient hydraulic performancechoices to solve your pumpingneeds. Our time tested equipmentdesigns have served the wastewaterpumping industry for over 100 years.
