Yellow Group Kinder, Weekly Reflection Term 1, Week 3 This week the children engaged in some new acvies. The threading was very popular and the children used a range of beads, straws and recycled materials to thread onto fishing wire. We then hung the children’s creaons up in the room. This acvity helps the children to develop their fine motor skills which then helps them with early wring skills. We introduced the Aboriginal Acknowledgement of Country to the children this week. We discussed the importance of the acknowledge and how we will say this everyday. We then looked at the Aboriginal flag and then discussed what each colour represents. We also read a dreamme story named ’When the Snake Bit the Sun,’ and discussed how dreamme stories are stories that are passed down verbally through generaons. The children have also been learning about paerns in relaon to our ELSA concept this term of paerns and relaonships. The have had the opportunity to copy paerns as well as create their own. This week we also celebrated 2 birthdays. Ethan’s 5th birthday and Lola’s 4th birthday .
