The groom, at mes, appears to take it all in stride, although I have seen the groom get excited as the big day drew near. But for the bride and her family, it takes weeks and even months to prepare the many de- tails; the invitaons, the bridal ouits, and yes, oſten the suits for the groom and his aendants, the men- us, the rehearsals, the finances that will be needed to pay for everything, and let’s not forget the honey- moon plans! I know in my own family, a wedding was a big celebraon with lots of details, and the church prep- araons to be completed. There were plans to be finalized and right up to the final hours before the celebraon could take place! It was special for eve- ryone! Just think! God, too, has prepared a special celebraon for our entrance into His Kingdom! As Isaiah says; “On this mountain the Lord has prepared a feast of rich food. He will wipe away our tears!” Yes, He, the Good Shepherd, makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me in the right paths, He prepares a table before me and He promises that I shall dwell in His house my whole life long. Am I prepared to enter into His feast? Have I asked for His forgiveness for all my offens- es? Do I remember to put on the wedding garment of grace? May I remember each day that my God is a loving merciful Father waing for me to enter! Alleluia! Alleluia! IT IS TIME TO COMPLETE OUR ALPHA SERIES. ALPHA RETREAT IS ONE DAY: held in the Parish hall on Saturday, Nov. 18 th . This completes the Alpha Sessions that we held in the spring. All participants who took the sessions are asked to continue with the retreat, however it is opened to anyone in the parish who would like to take it. What words would you use to describe your current experience as a Chrisan? At mes you feel frus- trated, joyful, forgiven, excing, up and down, empty feeling. Life at mes feels like a roller coaster. Do you desire more? Jesus said: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, streams of living water will flow from within him”. Jesus promised that God’s Holy Spirit would sasfy the thirst, or deepest longing, of all who believe in Him. We as Chrisans fail to understand the Holy Spirit or how to experience Him in their daily lives. Come and listen to the video talks at our Day Retreat on November 18 th , to experience the way the Holy Spirit can fill your lives. This invitaon goes to all our parishioners. If you are in Secondary School we invite you also to take part. Registraon Forms will be available next week. If you need a ride, we can accommodate you. If you need a baby sier, we will provide one. We need prayer to the Holy Spirit to make this Retreat successful, If you can’t make it to the retreat, please pray daily for it’s success. Lunch, snacks and coffee breaks included. You can donate but are not obligated. Come and join us as we prepare for Advent. More information on the Parish Website. UNIVERISTY/COLLEGE AGE CATHOLIC STUDENT CLUB!
