COMMUNICATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY
The children will look at the following genres of writing: Persuasive writing Short stories with flashbacks Finding a voice (poetry) Formal/ informal writing
PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
Commercial Dance To make a completed dance using a video stimulus
Gymnastics To develop skills and sequence them into a routine
Netball To develop their defending and attacking play by using a
range of tactics and strategies. Football/ rugby
to develop passing, shooting, tackling and tactical skills
PROBLEM SOLVING, REASONING AND NUMERACY The children will be learning about the following strands: A – counting, partitioning and calculating B – securing number facts and understanding shape C – handling data and measures Furthermore, the children will be revisiting key areas each week in preparation for the SATS.
