The NEW Mission Statement 21st Century In order to prepare our students to become
life long learners in the 21ST Century, the mission of the Dr. Joseph A. Whelan School community is to provide our students with a safe, rigorous, academic environment which not only fosters high proficiency in the language arts , mathematics , science, and technology , but does so in an atmosphere which encourages creativity , spirit of collaboration, higher level thinking, ownership and the development of the unique qualities that every child brings to the table .

Whelan Forum Everyone should consider themselves part of
the forum It is every parent , teacher , student , and organization that creates a successful environment and creates what we call the Whelan Community
Whelan School is now in the process of recruiting new parent forum members. As this program is new we are looking to better communication among the school community. We are looking for one parent to take charge of a homeroom for the 2014 2015 school year.
