Year 2 Mandarin Language Learning From Home: Week 9 - 11 This timetable below outlines the teaching and learning program for the remainder of Term 1 for Mandarin class. Students in year 2 have been learning Mandarin from the beginning of week 3 this term. They have learnt about the 12 zodiac animals and some basic sight words. Meanwhile we have revision on numbers, colours and My Family. Quizlet – this is where you can access the vocabulary your child has been learning. You don’t need to set up an account for this site. It is for free. Songs and readers – these are the learning resources that your child is very familiar with. You can also explore other resources on these sites to extend your child’s learning. Worksheets/craft‐ these are the worksheets that children can complete independently with minimal guidance. Please refer to the timetable below for more information. Students at school have language class twice a week. Each lesson lasts one hour. Students are to complete 2 worksheets each week. They could do 1 worksheet on the day they normally would have language class. For example, your child might have language class on Monday and Tuesday so they would complete worksheet on Monday and another on Tuesday. Native speakers have the option of completing extra worksheets if they have time.
