In the beginning of the music they show him doing a backflip in slow-motion this was shown as they wanted the audience to see Chris Brown as a young athletic man and this was seen as a cool way to make his entrance into the music video.

Throughout the music video we see shots of Chris Brown dancing in the video. This shows Chris Brown as a performer and dancer rather than just a singer which shows the audience all of his different talents that he was able to imply into the music video.

Iconography At the beginning of the music video we see the names of Collin Tilley, Chris Brown and the name of the song ‘Yeah 3x’ appear in big writing in the style of a cartoon as they were bold and colourful.

In the beginning of the music video it starts of with normal diegetic sound with noises from the streets and then one of the kids say that he is bored which helps with the introduction of Chris Brown. The use of the children helps promote Chris Brown to the audience in a positive manner because it shows that his fan base that can vary from an older age group to a very young one which allows the audience to see that he does a large variety of music.

When Chris Brown appears in the music video himself we hear the kids cheer for him, this shows that they are delighted to see him as he is a very popular figure in the music industry and throughout the music video we see Chris Brown walking down the street with a large group of people following him this shows that he has a large following regardless of what he is doing.

The use of fast pace editing shows the audience that the song is a ‘feel good’ and dance song as the editing matches the upbeat tempo of the music.

Links between lyrics and videoThe lyrics of the song are about a girl that Chris Brown has fallen in love with and in the music video there is a lot of dancing. This shows that Chris Brown is very happy and passionate as dancing can be linked with these feelings. The shots of Chris Brown flipping in slow motion can imply that he feels that he is on top of the world as we often see him standing on big vehicles while dancing.

The lyrics are often referring to dancing and moving your body which shows the people in the music video dancing throughout the music video which links to several aspects of the song its self as it also helps genre stand out.

Objectification of WomenIn the music video of ‘Yeah x3’ by Chris Brown the women are not objectified throughout the video as we see Chris Brown follow a women down the street. It is him trying to get her attention by dancing rather then her trying to seduce him by showing of her body which we are most likely to see in typical music videos nowadays.

During the dancing we see female backing dancers that are wearing clothes in the same style of Chris Brown rather than the stereotypical clothes that we would usually see him wearing like crop tops and skirts.
