Hoto (noodles) A regional Kofu dish, torimotsu-ni is made from chicken gizzards basted in a thick, sweet soy sauce dressing. It has won recognition as a popular dish. Torimotsu-ni It is said that it has been hundreds of years since grapes first took root in Yamanashi. The basin climate is suitable for grape as well as wine production. Wine is made with Koshu grapes, a native variety. Yamanashi wine is very popular for having a fresh and elegant flavor that goes well with Japanese cuisine. Wine Yamanashi is also known for its water. About 40% of Japan's mineral water is produced in Yamanashi Prefecture and well-polished Japanese sake is brewed in this area. Local Sake A variety of Yamanashi's specialty products for you to enjoy. Kofu City, the capital of Yamanashi Prefecture, has historically been known for its crystal industry. Kofu is Japan’s number one city for jewelry production, accounting for one-third of Japan’s production. The pictures shown are examples of “Koo-fu,” the local Kofu brand. Taking pride in this history, people of the region are now making efforts to pass down this traditional industry to future generations. Soaring up behind the gate is Bodaitei, the name for the 287 stone steps leading to the main hall. It is said that you can reach enlightenment when you arrive at the top of the steps. This temple is deeply worshipped as the head temple of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. Minobu Town was established as a temple town for Kuon-ji Temple, and has 39 temple lodgings in total. A famous spot to take pictures of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt. Fuji throughout the year. You will also find the Kawaguchiko Nature Living Center, where you can experience fruit picking, and Oishi Tsumugi Traditional Crafts Museum, where you can enjoy traditional craftwork.
It is the biggest hot spring area and a main tourist attraction at the foot of Mt. Fuji. I t receives a lot of tourists who come to relax while gazing out at the mountain.
This art museum was awarded 3 stars in the Michelin Green Guide. It displays fabric with Mt. Fuji motifs dyed by the great master of dyeing Itchiku Kubota.

Wine is made with Koshu grapes, a native variety. Yamanashi wine is very popular for having a fresh and elegant f lavor that goes well with Japanese cuisine.

Sanmon is one of the three biggest temple gates. Soaring up behind the gate is Bodaitei, the name for the 287 stone steps leading to the main hall. I t i s s a i d t h a t y o u c a n r e a c h enlightenment when you arrive at the top of the steps.
This temple is deeply worshipped as the head temple of the Nichiren sect of Buddhism. Minobu Town was established as a temple town for Kuon-ji Temple, and has 39 temple lodgings in total.
Initially established by the 28th Nichiren, the high priest of the Nichiren Buddhist sect, the front gate has the 36th Niccho priest’s motto, “All people become Buddha by faith in the Lotus Sutra.”
