Hello all,

I hope you are all safe and well. Well done to all of you who have been keeping up to date with the work being set by your teachers. It is really important that the longer you are off school, the more you focus on your work. You should be doing school work every day, from Monday to Friday, and it is vital that you stick to a routine. This might be: getting a bit of exercise in early and starting your school work afterwards; working straight after breakfast and then again after lunch; or you might have a block of time in the afternoon/evening when you do your work every day. Whichever routine works best for you and your family – stick to it! The more work you complete now, the better it will be for your education and for when you return to school.

Please make sure that you are keeping all of the paper based work that you are completing, in a portfolio. Also, if possible, save any online work into your area in Pupil Resources. There is guidance of how to do this on the school website in the ‘work for students’ – ‘guide for accessing and saving work’.

They are planning a new range of products designed to appeal to young people from 13-19 across a range of demographic backgrounds and are researching how past and present media products are created to engage specific audiences. In your role as a junior researcher they have asked you to write a report reviewing a range of media products from the audio/moving image, publishing and interactive sectors that have been produced by their competitors to analyse their purpose and how they have been created to engage their audiences.
