In which I map out my approach to this study.

Revelation!
How many books have I read on Revelation that
quickly turn into tangled thickets of claims in support
of the author of the commentary’s doctrinal
conclusions about the Rapture’s timing rather than an
invitation to the reader to discover the whole of what
the Author of the Revelation might have had in mind.
How can I even pretend not to be just another
contentious voice?
I’m almost afraid to say I think I have an idea how.Curious? Click on.

Final Message
So many get so lost so quickly
among so many elements when they enter the
Tribulation’s story through the front gate
(Chapter 4) . . .
So, crazy like a fox, I’m going to start with the
BACK END of the book and BACK INTO the maze!
The Eternal State gives us a secure, fixed point of
reference as we work our way into the
narrative chaos of the Tribulation.
THE END MAKES NARRATIVE SENSE-ALL BY ITSELF

BECAUSE: The last few chapters (19-22)Present clear and distinct scenes which
Contain basic and limited details that
Follow one another in story order and
Spotlight Six Main Tribulation actors so that we know the important players in advance when we read chapters 5-13!
We know WHO’s important
We know HOW they end up
We know WHAT to get curious about
We know WHERE the earlier tribulation events end up as they present themselves in 5-13.
WHO ARE THE TRIBULATION SIX?
The Tribulation Saints The AntiChrist and his False ProphetSatan himselfIsraelThe NationsCreation (Earth and Heavens)
MY PLANFirst, learn how God’s plan ends, from the return of Christ to the Eternal State
Then you’ll know how each of the Tribulation Six ends up when we meet them in chaps. 5-13
Finally, focus on the Tribulational backstory for each of the Six individual Tribulation ‘players’ in turn in Chapters 5-13
Understand what each one experienced in the Tribulation section of Revelation.
Let our understanding of the Tribulation form around these actors’ experiences.
I did mention that I was almost afraid to claim that I had an idea how to avoid being just another contentious voice for a pre-this or post-that school of interpretation, but I do. This odd, back-end-first approach really works to avoid confusion at the outset of a study of Revelation.I hope you’re still curious! Please click on.
WHAT’S NEXT?
I start my study of Revelation with a focus on the end of Revelation 21 and the
first 5 verses of 22. I want to draw the readers’ attention to how unique the
Christian view of Heaven is, comparing it to Islamic visions of Paradise for
enhanced clarity. I point out that two population groups seem to live in Heaven.
Finally, I remind the reader of how Revelation’s account of Heaven and Genesis’s
creation account mirror one another in a powerful symmetry.
