Xmas 2013

Yule Blog 2013 It’s been two years since our last life summary, so here is the 14,000-word chronicle of our lives in the meantime, translated into pictures at the standard rate.

Alex is doing lots of theatre – she performed in a live radio play, stage managed, directed Arsenic and Old Lace (above), and will be directing again this March.

The deteriorating policies at Brian’s job have taken their toll (above), but he is hopeful that things may turn around after the coming apocalypse.

To feed his soul, Brian also does theatre, performing in a couple of shows (left), and stage managing, and he also returns to nature, either by canoe or by simply taking clay baths in Ontario lakes (above).

Sebastian, still at home with us, is finishing his college courses, working at a sub shop, and composing and recording in his free time. He also enjoys riding various recreational vehicles during our Ontario cottage visits, as both photos above attest.

this year, both regular and sand-soccer (above). Calvin, also still at home with us, works at the same sub shop as Sebastian, and is pondering his next move. But more important, here is the link to his and his friends’ latest creation: Ranger Park

Samm is a friend of Sebastian’s who rooms with us – we adore her, and she’s a really useful engine, as you see above.

Now with the 2 cats that came with Samm, this is our menagerie. No shortage of feline drama around here.

A planned delight was the 50th FASS reunion in Waterloo, Ontario, where we performed with friends we hadn’t seen in ages – and there’s another one next month!

A more spontaneous delight was visiting dear friends towards Charlottesville, and experiencing the insanity of the emergence of the 17-year cicada.

Here’s hoping your Christmas 2013, and the year 2014, was and will be filled with delights both planned and spontaneous!
