www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 20
Telecommunications Service Request (TSR)
• Legacy Ordering Process for Telecommunications
• Used to order and cancel “most” VITA Contract Telco services
• Services ordered under TSR continue until cancelled
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 21
IPR
• NG “Internal Purchase Order”• Used by NG personnel to order products
they need to deliver services. • Includes break/fix repair parts, spares, etc• Agency shouldn’t need to do any status or
follow-up
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 22
RFS
• Major Requests for Services ($$$ or scale)• Used where solutioning is required rather
than just purchasing• Coordinated by the Agency’s APM
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 23
Fast Track RFS
• Used for Servers and Non-Standard products and Services where minimal solutioning is required
• Coordination required from multiple groups (i.e. server, networking, telecommunications, etc)
• Coordinated by the Agency’s APM
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 24
eVA
• Primary Transport and Approval vehicle for:– Requests for Services (NG)
• Standard vs. Non-Standard• Rated vs. Incremental
– Other IT Purchases (VITA)• Infrastructure not yet assigned to NG • IT purchases which need Technical Review (non-
infrastructure which may affect or be attached to infrastructure)
• IT purchases which exceed an agencies delegation
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 25
How to Check Status• TSR Requests – Call Vita Help Desk• RFS – contact APM• eVA
– Users with SharePoint access can use NG’s Tracking Site
– If the Vendor contact on requisition is VITA-NG• eMail [email protected] and copy APM
– If the Vendor Contact on requisition is VITA• eMail [email protected] and copy APM
www.vita.virginia.gov expect the best 26
Escalation
• To expedite an order contact the APM• They will check the status ask NG and VITA
to expedite the request (to the extent that it can be)
• It is the only recognized channel for expediting a request
• Expedited requests stop work on all other requests in the process
