Initiative 3:Increase undergraduate and graduate enrollment.Initiative 5:Create new learning opportunities through additional interdisciplinary,

international, service learning and civic engagement opportunities.

Summary: As a department, we have met the overall objectives of the SFA Strategic Plan in increased enrollment across all racial/ethnic groups since 2012. The above table indicates the similar patterns among our undergraduate student majors. Additional data indicate declines in the following master’s programs: School Counseling and the Speech and Language Pathology programs. However, other graduate programs have apparent increases in enrollment: Clinical Mental Health, Rehabilitation Counseling, School Psychology, Special Education, and Student Affairs. Because of the increased number of the admission of post-BA doctoral students, noted as master’s students, and the graduation of first enrollee into the School Psychology doctoral program, data indicates a decreasing enrollment in the School Psychology doctoral program.

Whereas overall, we are meeting the mark over the last 5-year period of documentation. There are points that require are attention in terms of recruitment and retention, especially of full-time students. Targeted efforts to increase and retain enrollment will occur to increase enrollment during the next annual reporting period.
