Business communication lecturers and experts believe that writing skills can be learnt and honed. Often those who believe they “can’t write” are simply going about it the wrong way.

The course assumes English second language matric / grade 12 proficiency level. The course does not focus on the acquisition or improvement of English language skills. Rather, the emphasis is on improving writing in the English language by applying tried and tested writing techniques, tools, and templates.

The online short course draws on exciting micro-learning videos, learning content, regular knowledge check quizzes, and interactive writing community posts that encourage participant interaction and shared learning. The course writing assignments allow participants to apply the phases of writing, critical thinking steps, and literary guidelines to writing in the business, reflective and scientific style.
