STARTING LOGIC

ID FAN will start after ID Fan start command is given from DCS only when the following conditions are satisfied:

1. Drive remote selected (05-MF-202G)2. Module Ready (05-MF-202R)3. Feild Stop PB not operated(05-MF-202K)4. ID Fan-A Disc damper closed (05ZSC-279)5. ID Fan not running

COAL FEEDER-1/2 START / STOP SEQUENCE

Coal feeder will start after start command is given from CRT if the following conditions are satisfied :

1. Remote selected (05-MK-301G/302G)2. Module Ready (05-MK-301R/302R)3. Fuel Conveyor –1 running(05-MC-301M/302M)

COAL CONVEYOR 1/2 START/STOP SEQUENCE

Coal Conveyor 1/2 will start after a Start command is given from CRT only when the following conditions are satisfied :

1. Remote selected (05-MC-301G/302G) 2. Module Ready (05-MC-301R/302R) 3. Fuel Feeder not running(05-MK-301M/302M) 4. Lime Screw Feeder not running(05-MK-303M/304M) 5. O/L not acted(05-MC-3015/3025) 6. Coal Conveyor not running(05-MC-301M/302M) 7. Coal Conveyor outlet gates not closed 8. DOL not selected (05-MC-3010/3020) 9. Coal Conveyor Field stop PB not operated (05-MC-3013/3023) 10. Ready for start (05-MC-3014/3024)

COAL CONVEYOR-1/2 will stop/trip if the following signals are present:

1. Boiler tripped 2. Both Outlet gates closed. 3. Coal feeder stop PB (DCS) operated 4. Feild stop PB operated.(05-MC-3013/3023) 5. Module not ready (05-MC-301R/302R) 6. O/L acted(05-MC-3015/3025) 7. Ready for start signal not present (05-MC-3014/3024)

BOILER TRIP CONDITIONS

Master fuel trip is initiated by one of the following conditions:

1. Bed temp > max 2 (940 Deg C)2. Furnace pressure very high (100 mmwcl)3. Furnace pressure very low (-150 mmwcl)

4. Drum level very high 5. Drum level very low 6. Total PA flow < min (50T/HR)7. PA discharge pressure < min(900 mmwcl)8. Bed height very low(600 mm)9. Bed height very high(1400mm)10. Both ID tripped11. Emergency PB (DESK) operated12. MFT operated from CRT

BOILER AIR PROTECT OK

Boiler air protect ok signal will be on if the following signals are present :

1. Furnace draft > min2. Furnace draft < max3. Bed temp < max 34. Syphon 1 temp < max5. Syphon 2 temp <max6. Drum level > min7. Drum level < max8. PA flow > min.9. Bed Temp >min 1A

10.0AIR / FLUE TRIPPING SEQUENCE

When the boiler trips the air and flue tripping sequence will be as follows:

Step 1.

Both the coal feeders will trip and associated outlet gates will also close if Bed Temp >max3 (920Deg C)

Step 2.Both PA fans will trip after coal feeders trip if Bed Temp> max 2 (940 Deg C)

Step 3. Both SA fans will trip 5mins after PA fans trip if Bed Temp > max2

HOT GAS GENERATOR - 1/2

FURNACE PURGE

Before any fuel firing can take place a satisfactory Purge cycle must be completed. To start a furnace Purge cycle the following conditions must be satisfied:

1. Primary air pressure not low2. Atomising air pressure not low (05PSL-631/645)3. Fuel oil pressure not low (05PSL-622/637)4. Fuel oil pressure not high 5. No flame6. Oil S30V in closed position ()7. HAG outlet gas temp not high high8. HAG bypass isolation damper fully closed (P26SD5/6ZS1)9. No scavenging on

10. Instrument Air Pressure not low(05PSL-619/634)11. PA flow > min12. Diff pressure across HGG not low.(05DPS-657/670)

With all the above conditions satisfied Purge Ready lamp will be on.After Purge Start PB operated furnace purging will start Purge Ready lamp will be off, Purge Progress indication will be available in CRT and after a time delay of 5 mins BURNER READY and Purge Complete indication will be available on CRT.

BURNER START COMMAND

With BURNER READY signal on

AND

(Local mode selected

ANDBurner start PB operated)

OR(Remote mode selected

ANDBurner start command from CRT)

Following cycle will be initiated :

Step 1

Ignitor will be inserted and when Ignitor Retract limit switch is released Ignitor Transformer will be energisedFor 15 sec

Step 2

When Ignitor is inserted oil valve and atomizing air valve will open simultaneously.

Step 3

CONDITION 1Ignition time over and oil flame established

Oil valve and Atomising valve will remain in open position.

CONDITION 2

Ignition time over, oil valve opened but oil flame not establishedOil valve will be closed. Ignitor will be inserted and energized .Scavenge on / start indication will be available on CRT and Atomising valve will remain in open condition.Scavenge valve will open.

After 20secs HEA will be de-energised and after 25secs both scavenge and atomising valve will be closed

Step 4

Oil burner firing and burner stop PB operatedOil valve will close

Atomising valve remain openScavenge on/start indication will be available on CRTIgnitor will be inserted and energized.

Scavenge valve will open. After 20secs Ignitor will be de-energised and retracted after 20 sec and after 25 secs both scavenge and atomising air valve will close.

CONDITIO 3

Oil burner firing and HAG trips due to any one of the following conditions :

Prmary air pressure low Atomising air pressure low

HAG outlet temp high high Emergency stop PB operated Oil pressure low Oil pressure high. DP across HGG low PA flow low

Then the following occurs:Oil valve will close

Atomising air valve will close

No scavenging will take place.

CYCLONE ASH SCREW FEEDER 1/2

Cyclone ash screw feeder will start after Cyclone ash screew feeder – 1 start command is given from DCS if the following conditions are satisfied :

1. Remote selected (05-MK-505G/506G) 2. Module Ready (05-MK-505R/506R) 3. Screw Feeder not running(05-MK-505M/506M) 4. Ash Static Cooler Level not high (05LSH-516/509) 5. O/L not acted(05-MK-5055/5065) 6. Cooling Water Flow ok(05FSL-725/732) 7. Inlet gates closed(05ZSC-512/505) 8. DOL not selected (05-MK-5050/5060) 9. Coal Conveyor Field stop PB not operated (05-MK-5053/5063) 10. Ready for start (05-MK-5054/5064)

Cyclone ash screw feeder will stop if any one of the following signals is present :

1. Boiler tripped 2. Ash Static Cooler Level high (05LSH-516/509) 3. Screw feeder stop PB (DCS) operated 4. Feild stop PB operated.(05-MK-5053/5063) 5. Module not ready (05-MK-505R/506R) 6. O/L acted(05-MK-5055/5065) 7. Ready for start signal not present (05-MK-5054/5064)

CYCLONE-1/2 DISCHARGE GATE VALVE

Cyclone discharge gate will open if the following conditions are satisfied:

1. Cyclone no discharge gate valve not fully opened ( 05ZSO-512/505)2. Cyclone ash screw feeder -1/2 running(05SAL-514/508)3. Solenoid valve power supply available4. (Bed temp < 830deg C.AND Auto selected)OR(Manual selected AND Open command from CRT)

Cyclone discharge gate will close if any one of the following signal is present 1. Cyclone ash screw feeder – 1/2 not running(05SAL-514/508/)2. Solenoid valve power supply not available3. (Close command given from CRT AND Manual selected)OR(Auto selected AND Bed Temp>860 Deg C)4. Boiler tripped. AND

BED ASH SCREW FEEDER - 1/3

Bed ash screw feeder – 1/3 will start after receiving start command from CRT if the following conditions are satisfied :

1. Remote selected (05-MK-501G/502G) 2. Module Ready (05-MK-501R/502 R) 3. Screw Feeder not running(05-MK-501M/502M) 4. Cooling water flow ok (05FSL-723/727) 5. O/L not acted(05-MK-5015/5025) 6. Bed Ash Screw Feeder 2/4 not running(05SAL-522/528) 7. Inlet gate closed(05ZSC-518/525) 8. DOL not selected (05-MK-5010/5020) 9. Bed Ash Screw Feeder Field stop PB not operated (05-MK-5013/5023) 10. Ready for start (05-MK-5014/5024)

Bed ash screw feeder – 1/2 will stop if any one of the following signals is present:

1. Boiler tripped 2. Bed Ash Screw Feeder 2/4 not running (05SAL-522/528) 3. Screw feeder stop PB (DCS) operated 4. Feild stop PB operated.(05-MK-5013/5023) 5. Module not ready (05-MK-501R/502R) 6. O/L acted(05-MK-5015/5025) 7. Ready for start signal not present (05-MK-5014/5024)

BED ASH DISCHARGE GATE VALVE 1/2

Bed ash discharge gate valve will open if the following conditions are satisfied :

1. Bed ash gate valve not fully opened (05ZS0-518/525)2. Bed ash screw feeder speed 1/3 running (05SAL-521/527)3. ( Auto selected

AND4. Bed level high)

OR5. ( Auto not selected

AND6. Open command given from DCS).7. Solenoid valve power supply available(P64SG10-SK/P64SG14-SK)

Bed ash discharge gate valve will close if any one of the following signals is present :

1. Bed ash screw feeder 1/3 not running(05SAL-521/527)2. (Auto selected

AND3. Bed level low)4. (Auto not selected

AND5. Close command given from CRT)6. Boiler tripped.7. Solenoid valve power supply not available8. Bed ash gate valve not fully closed (05ZSC-518/525)

16.0 EMERGENCY BLOWDOWN VALVE

EBD valve will open after a Start command is given from CRT only when the following conditions are satisfied :

1. EBD valve not fully opened (05ZS0-145)2. Valve closing logic not present3. Module Ready(05-MV-116R)4. O/L not operated(05-MV-116L)5. Stop command not operated from CRT6. Valve opening torque not high(05TS0-145)7. {(Remote selected AND Open command from CRT) 8. Field stop not operated (05-MV-116K)

EBD Valve will close if the following signals are present:

1. EBD valve not fully closed (05ZSC-145)2. Valve opening logic not present3. Module Ready(05-MV-116R)4. O/L not operated(05-MV-116L)5. Stop command not operated from CRT6. FEED WATER MOTORISED 0 - 100% ISOLATION VALVE Feed Water Motorised valve will open after a Start command is given from CRT only when the following conditions are satisfied :
