TEA Party Protests? ● The TEA Party Protests were a series of protests that began in 2009.

● The TEA Party movement is an American political movement known for its conservative position and backing of the republican party. The members call for a reduction of the national debt, government spending, and taxes. They are also strongly opposed to Universal Healthcare.

● The TEA Party believed that President Obama lied about his birthplace, and that he is actually from Kenya because he did not present his birth certificate to the general public.

Obama the Facist, Marxist, Socialist, Communist. ● The TEA Party compared Obama’s ideals to the likes of Adolf Hitler and Karl

Marx.● Obama Campaign Slogan “Change”.● Obama Care was also compared to a campaign that Hitler tried to instill in

Germany called T-4.

Speaking Up● Many organizations began to Oppose the TEA Party.● Speaker of the House John Boehner● 2013, TEA Party support and Membership fall.

People were Critical of the TEA Party, saying they lost Credibility and were pushing members to do things that they didnt want to do.
