IBP’S YOUTH COMMITTEE

IBP’s Youth Committee

• Installed in July/2007

• For young professionals under 35 years old

• Mission (under review):

“Promoting actions to attract and develop the careers of young Brazilian professionals in the oil, gas and biofuels industry, helping to enable them to play an important role in the future of this industry.”

Composition

• E&P Operators • Gas, Energy and Biofuels Companies • Governmental Entities • Downstream Operators • Refineries • Petrochemical Companies • Universities • Services Providers Companies • Transportation and Distribution Companies • Research and Development Centers

Task Forces

SUBCOMMITTEES 1) Communications - website maintenance and update - promotion of the activities developed by the Committee

2) Events - promotion of related events - promotion of presentations/lectures about different topics related to the oil industry 3) Relationship with other institutions - To disseminate information among educational institutions - Maintaining contact with educational institutions - Promotion of technical visits to companies and/or institutions

4) Strategic Planning - Planning long-term strategies of the Committee

Activities

• Periodical meetings and review of activities to identify new opportunities for the YC;

• Monthly schedule of lectures aimed at students and young professionals;

• Presentation of lectures in the Petroleum weeks from different universities;

• Presence on international events for young professionals: 2nd WPC Youth Forum – France 3rd WPC Youth Forum – India 4th Youth Forum – Canada

• Scholarships for students to participate in the World Petroleum Congress:

19th WPC (Spain): Diego Dias (UFSC)/Tiago Pitchon Sampaio (UFRJ) 20th WPC (Qatar): Douglas Giglioti (UFSCar)/Tatiana Millan (UFRJ)

• Organization of the Annual Meeting of Young Leaderships in the Petroleum Industry (3 editions so far)
