Market driven
This market is opportunity and not imbalance driven. It gives extra
opportunities to flexible units which are not used in acillary services. This
gives more flexibility to support intermittent sources. Only aFRR qualified
units.
Near-real time
The market is a near-real time. This extends the opportunitiy to trade
beyond current cross-border intraday GTC.
What to remember?WP6: RECAP
Power flow optimization
FlexEnergy Bids are executed in a way that the power flows are optimal
given the current grid status and constraints. This can enable extra energy
exchange over the borders.
Close-loop operation
TSO have the control over the bid execution – if a problem occours during
the execution, bids can be set to 0 without any consequence for all the
parties involved – open bid principle with the combination of MPC.
