Good Morning, Guests!

Thank you so much for choosing to worship with us today! Please fill out the enclosed attendance and response sheet.

A vital part of our worship assembly is our “Celebration of Communion.” It is a time of remembering all that Jesus has done for us in His sacrifice on the cross. We do this every Sunday, just like Jesus’ followers did some 2000 years ago. We will also collect an offering. We do not expect you to participate in our offering, but you are welcome to do so if you choose.

If you would like to know more about the San Jose Church of Christ, feel free to visit our Welcome Center, located in the foyer. We also invite you to visit our website, www.sjcc.us.

What Our Children are Learning Today in Galilee

OBEDIENCE Trusting those who lead you by doing what you’re asked to do.

MEMORY VERSE “Trust in your leaders. Put yourselves under their authority. Do this, because they keep watch over you.” Hebrews 13:17a, NIrV BIBLE STORY Abraham and Isaac Genesis 18, 21, 22 BOTTOM LINE I should trust and obey because there’s a bigger plan. BEDTIME: Read Genesis 6-8. Then, each of you name one time it was hard for you to obey. Pray together and ask God to give you the courage to obey even when other people don’t.

Prayer Requests and Praises

The spot in Caroline Mallard’s brain they suspected is a cancer recurrence may not be cancerous. She will have a rescan in about a month. Marty Zenas had a heart catheterization with a stent placement. Bryce & Tanza Pride ask for prayers for: travel safety, peace as they move and for all of the medical related procedures to go well in the fall. Michael Mathis, Don & Kathy’s grandson, is recovering from a hit and run motorcycle accident. PRAISE! Janice Williams has moved to the Hope Lodge. The address is: Hope Lodge, 2121 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608

Thank Yous Dear Precious Church Family, What a journey this has been! I don’t know how well I could have gone through this if it was not for the love that has been showered on me from you. I am so thankful to experience God’s love through you, that it is over-whelming at times. My body is rebuilding itself and I should be a new per-son by the time I get home, right? Well, it has changed my life, not only physically, but spiritually and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. Love in Christ, Janice Williams Thank you for everyone who had a part in the Ladies Day on Saturday. You did a beautiful job. It touched my heart. Love, Caroline Massie

Congratulations On Monday, August 22, Nathalia Batista and Isabel welcomed a new daughter/sister, Rafaela

Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Class Coming Soon The Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Class will begin September 13. All ladies are invited and encouraged to attend as we study Prepared by Debbra Stephens. It has definitely felt and looked like a construction zone here these past few weeks as the Phase 2 emphasis has shifted to getting the Stepping Stones wing ready for the first day of school.

Phase 3, the renovation of the office area and the nearby classrooms and restrooms, will be starting the week after Labor Day. As a result, we are packing up and moving the offices next week. There might not be a printed version of the bulletin available Sunday, September 4.

Our temporary office will be in Room 101.

The temporary office entrance will be the new Stepping Stones entrance, across from the kitchen.
