• Easily monitor and track your entire worm strains database• Add each nematode lines (for example, your C. elegans lines)

and associate it with all relevant information such as source, genotype and growth conditions

• Keep track of all your Petri dishes and connect particular experiments or protocols with your worms

• Easily add strains from the CGC to your Labguru account

Worms doesn’t appear in your menu? press New Collection to

quickly add it

Easily add worms by:• Import your entire collection• Create one manually• Search CGC database• Search in the repositories

To import your worm collection info, download Labguru’s

template, fill it (do not change columns’ headers or order) and

upload the file. After file is uploaded, choose to start import

Import your entire collection

To enable additional customized fields to your worm table do the

following before downloading the template: go to Settings (under account name), choose Collections tab and click on

customized for worms specimen

Worm repositories

2 Click on an item’s name to see more details

including the lab that shared it

1 Click to create new repositories

• Share your worms with colleagues and see what they share with you• See which worms your colleagues work with, ask for advices or ask to

borrow specific bacteria• Create different repositories to share with different people

2 Once a repository exist, you can share

your worm directly from the info tab!

1 To share your worms with your colleagues, easily create a new

repository: name your repository send an invitation (you can add invitations

at any time)

Custom fields

1 View both default and customized field. Customized fields can

be deleted if never used

2 Enter field name, select field type from the list

(optionally, mark field as mandatory) and click here to add it to your

module’s fields

1 Change the order in which fields are presented in the index table by dragging and

dropping

2 Mark the fields you want to appear in

your index table click Update

1 Quickly find the worm you need! Use simple or advanced search tools

Search for a worm item

2 Add as many search criterions as needed to

narrow down search results and easily find your worm

item

2 Bulk tag or delete worms by selecting multiple

items

worm

2 Edit, duplicate or delete item easily

3 Keep your worm item in context: see all related protocols, experiment, tasks

etc.

tubes to edit together

3 Archive a consumed tube to disassociated it

with a box yet keep its info and history

Total amount of material left is automatically calculated (if volume and

concentration are updated in each

tube)
