PHILOSOPHY

At World View Christian Center Inc. we believe that the Center or Child's world should be a warm and caring environment where each child wants to be because he or she feels important. Our goal is to provide each child with the best possible care and educational stimulation included in a bible-based curriculum designed to teach about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We believe that learning is a joyous experience because play is thought of as an enriching, educational time that is a natural extension of each child's environment. We believe that "play is children's work", therefore, all endeavors of teaching are from an informal and relaxed perspective. The stress of rote learning will be avoided. Children are encouraged to "learn by doing", ask questions, and by experiencing/viewing the world through their own senses. Through play, a child learns to understand the world. Here at the Center, each child has the reinforcement of caring, patient, and competent teachers. A child learns to fully feel the love of learning.

Our teachers make learning joyful by providing experiences and setting the stage for learning. Our Pre-School teachers know that children learn the best through active engagement and we help children relate new experiences to what they already know, thereby broadening their areas of thinking.

As a child learns and grows, each begins to feel power. Loving, patient, and consistent caregivers encourage this independence but respect the fact that a child still feels the need for security. Through encouragement and praise, the child learns confidence. A primary goal at the center is the development of a healthy, happy, and confident self-image for each child.

We welcome parents to visit, observe, and/or participate at the center as often as possible. The Center is not a babysitting service, but a high-quality program that includes various experiences to meet each child's cognitive, social, physical, and emotional needs. In the eight to ten hours a day that a child spends in the Center, he/she thinks of friends and teachers as part of their extended family, therefore enriching a child's own family life at home. The Center works together with parents as partners in the development and care of each child so that there is a consistency between child care and home practices.

World View Christian Center Inc. is a place where adults are not afraid to let children be children and to help make the very best of their short childhood years. We will bring a view of the world into the classroom each day. Some of the views consist of animals, plants, music, occupations, families, toys, cultures, languages, letters, numbers, construction, museums, art, shapes, colors, scents, and much, much more!

We thank you for entrusting your child(ren) to our care. We are confident that you have made an excellent choice!

HOURS OF OPERATION Monday — Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m; however, there is a 10 hour core day for all pre-school children, which means your child cannot be at the center for more than 10 hours per day based on the fee you are charged. Parents of children who are enrolled full-time and need over 10 hours of service per day need to complete an extended enrollment form that can be obtained from the administrative office.

Upon completion of this form, the fee will be $3.00 per hour (per child) for any time over 10 hours in a given day, Without this form, parents will be assessed a fee of $5.00 per hour (per child) or portion thereof. Infant and Toddler extended care fee is $6.00 per hour (or portion thereof) with a completed form on file or $10 per hour (or portion thereof) without the form.

CENTER CLOSING The center will be closed for one week. This will take place a week before PG public school system opens for the school year. Parents are not responsible for paying the center for childcare services during this week that the center is closed. Please make other child care arrangements for your child during this week.

SNOW DAYS/INCLEMENT WEATHER In the event of inclement weather, please call the center after 5:00 a.m. for possible delayed openings or closings of the center. It is also posted on Channel 7 News. If the outgoing message on the machine does not state any delayed openings or closures----the Center will open on time. NOTE: Parents are responsible for paying for the delayed openings and closures. If the school closes all day, the fee is $10.00 for the day. If school lets out early, there's a $5.00 fee per day. REGISTRATION There is a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee. This is a one-time fee per family. Once paid, there are no more registration fees for your family for all future programming (unless your child has been out of the center for 1 year or more). The first bi-monthly tuition is due upon registering your child. This fee will be prorated (if appropriate) to cover the actual time remaining during the first payment cycle. Also, the center reserves spaces in the Summer Program for every child enrolled. If your child's camp registration form isn't turned in listing vacation time, then fees are due for the full summer.

All parents who regularly pick-up their children are required to have a key fob. If a key fob is lost or stolen, there is a $50.00 replacement fee. (of which $25 is refundable as a deposit).

DEPOSIT There is a deposit due upon registering your child. This deposit is equivalent to one week's tuition (divide bi-weekly amounts by 2). This amount is applied to your child's (ren) tuition after a positive payment relationship has been established (usually within 6 months).

Please remember that your regular tuition payment is due to hold your child's slot (whether or not your child is at the center). Vacation and sick time has already been factored into tuition. NOTE: If a check bounces, parent/guardians will be expected to pay all back charges immediately and from that point, only a money order will be accepted until further notice, a 35.00 NSF fee is charged on all return checks.
