You are a French worker just having heard about the American Revolution in during people in America, a colony (land controlled by another country) of Britain, revolted against the British and formed their own country – the United States. The United States would be a partial democracy in which all white male landowners could vote for their government. What would hearing this news make you think about? 4. Now imagine it’s 1789 and you are a Haitian slave just having heard about the American Revolution AND the French Revolution – in which the King was kicked out of government by the workers. What would hearing this news make you think about?
