You will be going into the neighborhood and interviewing people about their lives in Grays Ferry. You will receive help in

figuring out how to do this.

Your first assignment is to come up with a good question to ask an older person. What do you want to know about the

history of the neighborhood?

Not all of the colonists joined the revolution.

He was a slaveholder, but he freed his

He was offered the power of a dictator, but turned it down.

He was the third president.

He wrote the declaration of independence.

He believed in the “yeoman farmer.”

Jefferson was a slaveholder.

He did not free his slaves.
