What is the name of theAfrican band which collaborated on this track?

Page 3: World cup 2010 quiz

"Waka Waka" is based upon a traditional African soldiers' song named Zangalewa, a 1986 makossa hit for Cameroonian group Golden Sounds.[3]. It appears Shakira reinterpreted the song without permission of the band, and after legal intervention by the band, an undisclosed deal was struck with Sony Music[3].

Page 4: World cup 2010 quiz

About the collaboration, Zolani Mahola of Freshlyground said that "We are thrilled to have collaborated with Shakira on 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', especially as we feel that the song captures the spirit and energy of the African World Cup. We are certain the song will inspire people around the world to celebrate the gathering of nations at the place where it all started. Here in Africa!"

1970 MEXICOFor the first time the FIFA World Cup™ was broadcast in colour around the globe and tens of millions watched spellbound as Brazil brought added brilliance to the spectacle with a glorious exhibition of attacking football that deservedly earned them a third world crown. The Brazilians' 4-1 Final triumph over Italy gave them the right to keep the Jules Rimet Cup and provided the perfect farewell for Pele on his final appearance on the world stage. there were now two substitutes allowed per team, red and yellow cards for the referees, and an adidas ball, the white-and-black checked Telstar.

Page 56: World cup 2010 quiz

The 12th FIFA World Cup was the last to feature a fully leather ball but it broke new ground as the first involving 24 teams rather than 16. It also had a new format, incorporating three distinct phases: a first round comprising six groups of four teams, with the top two from each progressing; a second round with four groups of three from which the top team advanced; and then the semi-finals and Final.

For the first time, the destiny of the trophy would be decided by penalties and, cruelly, it was Roberto Baggio, who had done so much to get Italy there, who missed the crucial last kick. His right leg heavily bandaged to protect his injured hamstring, the little No10 lifted the ball high into the blue California sky and Brazil were champions again, 24 years after their last success

"Comfortably Numb" (working title The Doctor) is a song by the English rock band Pink Floyd, which first appears on the 1979 double album The Wall. It was also released as a single in the same year, with "Hey You" as the b-side. It is one of only three songs on the album for which writing credits are shared between Roger Waters and David Gilmour – the melody, and most of the music on "Comfortably Numb", was written by Gilmour, while Waters contributed the lyrics and some additional notes. "Comfortably Numb" is one of the most famous Pink Floyd songs, and is known especially for its guitar solos. In 2004, the song was ranked number 314 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It ended up becoming the last song ever to be performed by Waters, Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason together.
