Miss Tauheed’s Favourite Book ‘Crick Crack Monkey’- By Merle Hodge

This was the first time that I had read any type of Caribbean Literature. The story is about a young girl called Tee and her battle to get an education and have a better life. She suffers racism, bullying and injustice on the way, but is still determined to achieve her goals. A very moving novel and was one of the reasons I was inspired to be a teacher.
