What sets Suess & Hauber Photography Workshops apart from other workshops?

Suess & Hauber Fine Art Photography Workshops are conducted by two full-time professional fine art photographers who happen to also love teaching. Combined they have over 40 years of experience making their careers with their cameras and teaching & sharing their experiences along the way. They are detail orientated and put the needs of their students first. They both have extensive experience dealing with all types of situations and people and love answering all of their students questions. With unique photo backgrounds they have experience creating and selling their work in such diverse fields as photojournalism, sports, portrait, wedding, editorial, and commercial photography. Their specialty for the last 7 years or so has been fine art photography. They draw from all of those life experiences to provide you with whatever technical and artistic guidance you need. With their help, you will grow and expand your visual expression as well as your technical skills. In addition, they hope you have a great time in the process, immersing yourself in photography and sharing in their passion for photography.

Why should I attend a program with Suess & Hauber Fine Art Photography Workshops?

They will teach you how to create inspiring and amazing fine art quality photographs. You will learn how to see more creatively and how to translate that vision into a final image that has emotional impact. They make it easy to learn techniques and concepts that you will take with you every time you walk out the door with your camera. They have extensive experience shooting and selling their fine art photography as well as teaching the concepts of photography. They are hands-on learners themselves and teach using a hands-on approach that will give you the best opportunity to retain information and further your photography skills long after the workshop has concluded. Lastly they love teaching small groups. Most of their workshops feature small sizes with 10-12 students on average. This allows for extremely low teacher to student ratios and provides many extremely valuable one-on-one opportunities to work with them during the workshop.

What level of photography experience do you have to have in order to attend one of these workshops?

They especially love teaching beginner and intermediate photographers but any individual who loves to learn or take beautiful photographs is welcome.

Spend five days in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico with Matt Suess and Christine Hauber photographing in and around Santa Fe as well as

spending valuable classroom time learning how to process and enhance your photos using Photoshop & Elements, Camera Raw & Lightroom, and

extremely powerful plugins from Nik Software such as Viveza 2 & HDR Efex Pro 2 during their 3rd Annual Digital Darkroom Boot-Camp.

Join Christine and Matt for 5 packed days of field photography and classroom photo enhancing. Learn in the field about light, composition,

and how to shoot HDR photographs. In the classroom learn how to process RAW and HDR photos, and enhance them with Photoshop / Elements and

a few plugins from Nik Software.

will be scheduled for sunrise and sunset, with mid-day reserved for review and in-the-field classroom instruction.

If you don’t have the time to join a 5-day field workshop, an online course is available for you to learn photography enhancing techniques at your

own pace.

Turn Your BLAH Photos Into WOW Photos!

In this course Matt and Christine will go through all of the important functions and controls of Nik’s Viveza 2 software plug-in. Watch them use and explain the software and follow along on your computer using the same photos that are included in this course.

You will be amazed at how quick & easy it is to do such normally complicated tasks such as darken or lighten a specific color, increase or decrease shadows, or replace specific colors. And best of all, you will learn how easy and fun it is to enhance "snapshot" photos into works of art. They have been teaching Viveza in their regular photo workshops for years and it has become one of the favorite and most used tools for their students.
