    "I have been directing the Interna-

    tional Graduate Program at MAHLE

    or ive years. What makes the job

    so interesting and multi-aceted

    every day? Deinitely the programs

    individual character. No graduate

    program goes the same way

    jointly with the mentors, we work

    out an individual program or each

    graduate and search or challenging

    projects. And, o course, internatio-

    nality. Each graduate has at least one

    Research and DevelopmentThe uture begins nowin Research and Development. At eight re-

    earch and development centers located around the world, we work on

    Production

    At more than 100 production locations on our continents, our ecient,

    20 production plants to make innovative products or our business units

    Technical Sales

    One o my frst big tasks at MAHLE

    was big in every sense o the

    word: I took on the challenge o

    planning the plant in Leibertingen,

    Germany. I then managed this plant

    or a ew years beore getting the

    opportunity to prove my skills at an

    international level as plant manager

    in Russellville/USA. MAHLE has

    always supported me on my career

    path. My superiors have encour-

    aged and supported me in an

    individual way, and have shown

    confdence that I can overcome

    new challenges. I was also

    supported on the job by my

    colleagues and underwent special

    training and employee development

    programs to prepare mysel in the

    best possible way or my new

    tasks. The collaborative working

    relationship among colleagues at

    MAHLE has really let an impression

    on me. Thats why I give my

    employees a great deal o reedom

    Thanks to the close working relation-

    nity to do my fnal thesis in technical

    sales. My supervisor really stressed

    technical knowledge and helped

    me get a short internship in engine

    testing. This enabled me to com-

    plement my theoretical knowledge

    with some practical experience.

    Ater I fnished my thesis I became

    an international graduate at MAHLE

    and went to my frst assignment in

    England. My recommendation? I

    to be able to gain experience in the

    widest variety o areas and to weave

    together my international network.

    I frst got to know MAHLE during a

    Formula Student event, a program

    sponsored by MAHLE in which stu-

    dents race cars they had designed

    themselves. Being part o one racing

    teams organizational unit was a
