The project work plan is the heart piece of your proposal, since it clearly describes the goals you want to achieve and the manner in which you intend to achieve them.

Begin by setting up work packages.

Enter the information about the work package, and make sure that the first nine work packages are numbered 01-09 to facilitate the listing and sorting.

This allows you to integrate it directly in your proposal document.

To do this, select ‘Print’. The list will be displayed in a new browser window.

The entries in the work package list, can also be edited.

Select the work package you wish to edit from the list, and double-click on the entry.

After setting up a work package list, you can begin writing the individual work package descriptions.

Select the work package, and go to ‘Edit WP Description’.

According to Table 1.3.c from Annex 4 of the EC’s ‘Guide for Applicants’, enterthe planned person-months each participant will invest in the work package,

the work package objectives,

the description of work, possibly broken down into tasks, together with the role of the participants involved in the work package.

While you enter your information, it will be saved automatically every twenty seconds. Thus ensuring that no data is accidentally lost.

Below the description of work, Table 1.3c requires you to list the deliverables for the work package.

To do this go to ‘Add’ at the bottom of the page.

Enter the information about the deliverable, and make sure to number it correctly, by having the first digit refer to the corresponding work package.

You can also see all the planned deliverables, independent of the corresponding work packages.

Click on the title of each column to sort the list accordingly.

Often times different partners will be in charge of writing one or two different work packages.

This may lead to an incongruent numbering of the deliverables. Especially if they are edited several times.

Seen together in the deliverables list, this discrepancy may become apparent.

The coordinator can correct this by amending the deliverable numbers. As before edit an entry by double-clicking on it.

The Proposal Writer ‘Work Plan Setup’ also takes the information from the work package description, that corresponds with Table 1.3d from Annex 4 of the EC’s ‘Guide for Applicants’,

to create the ‘Summary of Staff Effort’ table.

The table can also be copy-pasted into the proposal document from the print version.

Finally the ‘Work Plan Setup’ lets you enter the milestones as required in the EC’s ‘Guide for Applicants’.
