HARBUC PRODUCTIONS Production brief for ‘Music Video’ Production Title: Lana Del Rey - West Coast Production Summary: Produce a music video in an abstract/narrative form, to include various shots in nature to the song ‘West Coast’ by Lana Del Rey. The video should include old style handheld camera shots, along with normal unfiltered shots, and will have shots of dancers merged with the footage. Brief Plot: The video should begin with old style handheld looking footage of nature by a water feature, to establish what the video will look like throughout. The whole video should be roughly cut to the beat of the song. A girl should appear near the beginning of the video, looking lost and confused in nature. The chorus is to include dreamy looking shots of the girl, as if she is remembering good times. There should include time lapses of clouds to emphasise that time is moving quickly. Dancers should be shown in various places, to show confusion and mixed emotions, which is what the song is about. Target Audience: The video’s primary target audience is young people from around 15-25, as the video will be available on YouTube and social networks, which both appeal to this age group. The artist mainly also appeals to this age group, as she herself is young. Production Budget: The budget for the production will be around £300, which includes personal camera equipment, catering, and transport. Talent: One actress will be needed to fill the role of the lost and confused girl, and two dancers (to be filmed at the Christmas Concert). Distribution:

HARBUC PRODUCTIONSProduction brief for ‘Music Video’

Production Title:Lana Del Rey - West Coast

Production Summary:Produce a music video in an abstract/narrative form, to include various shots in nature to the song ‘West Coast’ by Lana Del Rey. The video should include old style handheld camera shots, along with normal unfiltered shots, and will have shots of dancers merged with the footage.

Brief Plot:The video should begin with old style handheld looking footage of nature by a water feature, to establish what the video will look like throughout.

Target Audience:The video’s primary target audience is young people from around 15-25, as the video will be available on YouTube and social networks, which both appeal to this age group. The artist mainly also appeals to this age group, as she herself is young.

Production Budget:The budget for the production will be around £300, which includes personal camera equipment, catering, and transport.

Talent:One actress will be needed to fill the role of the lost and confused girl, and two dancers (to be filmed at the Christmas Concert).

Distribution:The final product will be distributed online, on the website ‘YouTube’, as well as on social media. This is because young people tend to use these platforms on a daily basis, thus earning the video more views than just showing it on less pop-ular platforms.

Deadline:The deadline for this production will be February 6th, 2015.
